The thing about fan-service in games is that, over time, if you as a developer give in to the demands that any fan base makes, there's a likelihood that the game series will start to suck. It's because most gamers only have a general idea of what they enjoy in a title, only a small inkling of what actually makes the game fun. Most gamers in general, if asked, would demand the same characters over and over again only because they don't realize anything different is out there. When left unexposed to any new possibilities, gamers will happily demand 'more of the same but better', a staple demand that often times cannot realistically be met. So taking a look at MvC3, a game that has literally been in demand for somewhere close to a decade, you always have to wonder if Capcom and Marvel are making the right choices.

But... but... the garbage-mongers always tell us that Square Enix is in trouble! 😂

Capcom has clarified its current stance on generative AI in its videogames. The major Japanese publisher and developer behind popular series like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter has revealed that while it doesn't use gen-AI assets in their games, it is exploring ways to use generative AI to streamline the game development process.
Using Artificial Intelligence (more like Realistic Stupidity) art assets in your games is a great way to get people to boycott your product. We don't need that ugly, unsophisticated, generic, fake art in our games, good on CAPCOM for not using that garbage.
Naw you can't fool us, You work with Nvidia, that's a fact! And here you wanted to advertise but now look stupid!
Perfect as it is, I'll still jump for joy at the thought of Doc Ock being a possible entry to the series via DLC.
I'm still left wondering why Stryder was left out.
I'm a bit disappointed that they took Frank West out of the initial line-up. He should be added later though, so that makes up for it.
Looks pretty awesome.
I like the cast, I like the game, I just don't like the play style. Zoning character are rewarded so much in this game. I wanted a rush down type game where heavy zoning was discouraged in favor of in your face constant action but no, if you can master a zoning game you can lame out a win. I'll keep playing for the time being but hopefully MK9 will be a blast.
