Mexico Congress to prohibit sale of "Call of Juarez: The Cartel"

In Chihuahua, Mexico the congress unanimously approved the initiative that calls on the Federal Interior Ministry of Mexico and the Mexican Economy Ministry to ban the sale of the third installment of the series of Call of Juarez, since it goes against the image of Ciudad Juárez, even though Ciudad Juarez has been ranked the world's most violent city.

How about you Ass Clowns prohibit people from being murdered every 5 minutes?

You would think if everyone was inside playing this game instead of outside doing it for real then maybe you wouldn't have so many traffic jams do to Funerals.

Juarez journalist "Mr. Mayor what is being done to stop the mass murdering and crime going on in the Juarez"

The mayor "well first we are gonna ban that video game CALL OF JUAREZ: THE CARTEL even though the only people that have the money in Juarez to buy it are cartel members because we have no jobs...except at the morgue".

and use it instead for further deliberations on bringing some f'n peace in Mexico?

But you know what's funny? Everyone can imagine the Mexican government specifically blaming games like Call of Juarez: the Cartel for all the ongoing murders and terror caused by the Mexican drug cartels if this game were released before all the wide violence in Mexico started happening. In this ignorant, scape goat-obsessed world you KNOW that is totally plausible.

first it was Top Gear, demanding an apology from a man who makes fun of everyone and anyone, yet the Mexicans are the ones that have a problem with it AND NOW this, lol

beyond stupid if you ask me

I am impressed with your knowledge of the situation its almosts as if you werent talking out of your ass.

For better or for worse there are merits to banning the distribution of said game, mainly to avoid the glorification of the drugdealer lifestyle. Sadly no measure is gonna put a dent in that sort of criminal activity unless its tackle the main issue. Drugdealing is incredibly profitable since the United States demand for drugs is gigantic and unless someone deals with that any measures taken are only a patch until another distributor rises.

I dont think Mexico can deliberate anymore on the subject all branches of the military are involved with curfew and martial law set in some areas. So i think your suggestion for them to deliberate furthr is frankly not a well thought argument.

About the top gear situacion it was basically Jeremys fault since he joked about the mexican embassador willingness to persue the issue. Shame the guy called his bluff. Personally i think it wasnt their best material they could have made much better jokes like saying the car would soon be seen trimming american gardens. It was also packed together since when they are dissing a country they normally crack a joke every couple minutes this segment had about 6 jokes in a minute and a half, besides Mays comment about "refried sick" was frankly neither funny nor necesary considering Mexican Foods is ranked a lot higher than its english counterpart.

It's going to be pirated. It wil happen. The only people getting screwed are developers, not the players really.

awiseman5446d ago

They probably issued a statement to the people, saying it makes false accusations about the country saying that it is full of druglords and gangsters...LIES

doesn't half the mexican population now live in the US anyway? seems like it.

EDIT: disagrees must be canadians.

George Sears5446d ago

I believe the disagrees are from people that have education.

I wish they'd re-release/remaster Gunslinger as a physical copy on PS4. I'm really not keen on digital only.
