Volcano Escape has all the making of a great jumper, but its concrete controls and useless corpse-climbing work against its considerable charm. That’s too bad, because this an attractive, cartoony adventure that would otherwise stand out from the Doodle Jump clones that currently clog the App Store.
TheAppera - You must get up a Volcano from the rising lava. You have to jump from platform to platform to try and get as high as you can go. Volcano Escape is a pretty challenging game.
Volcano Escape is like a bad girlfriend. It drives us nuts, and by all accounts should get lost, but we can't do the right thing and walk away, largely because of the occasional flash of brilliance when everything comes together. Sadly, those moments are few and fleeting.
