An unnamed Nintendo representative at an Australian 3DS event has said that 1% of users may not be able to see the 3DS’s 3D effect. The 3DS utilizes parallax to display stereoscopic 3D images without the use of other equipment, such as specialized glasses.
This image basically confirms that in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon we will be seeing an alternate story. While it has been stated by Nintendo multiple times that this was the case, they were never really clear on it.
