For those not aware Sony will have three portable devices co-existing by the end of the year. The 1st is the obvious PSP-3000 model. The 2nd consists of the NGP which acts like the PSP’s successor. Sony has implied that the NGP will be formally named, priced, and released by the end of the year (in Japan). The 3rd and final device is the “Xperia Play” or better known as the PlayStation Phone which is said to hit stateside early spring. So is it smart or stupid of Sony to support three systems, in the relatively “same” market, at the same time, with all three most likely competing with one other? Hit read more for…more!

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

TNS - NCSoft CEO admitted that AI is rapidly becoming a core part of game development, but he added that it cannot replace what makes games fun.
To be fair, there are also human made games that release and lack any fun at all either.
Guild Wars 2 been playing for 14yrs, 1st beta. This is just one company I support, Arenanet and NCSoft, even though I torrent, there are a few PC companies I will buy from. "PlayStation’s Horizon MMO spin-off, Horizon Steel Frontiers." I feel this will be good, NCSoft is a good developer/publisher.
It’s a tool. Use it elevate things and get it done faster. I’m sorry but not every game made by humans is good. If this can help things, then I fully embrace it.
"Deck13 Spotlight and Just2D are proud and excited to announce that DROVA – Forsaken Kin, the acclaimed grim and dank pixel RPG, set in a mystic Celtic world and celebrated by fans all over the world, is out now on iOS and Android!" - Deck13 Spotlight and Just2D.
Let's see... the PS division will support the PSP and NGP.
They did this with the PS1 and PS2, and then the PS2 and the PS3 and its worked out fine for them.
The Xperia Play is a Sony Ericson's baby smartphone.
All 3 device will be aimed at completely different markets when all 3 are released.
I don't see the PSP and the NGP as competing with each other, any different than Nintendo releasing the 3DS and not abandoning the regular DS, or Sony's continuous support of the PS2.
As for the phone thing, I think that's a whole different thing that's really trying to fight against the Android/iOS market rather than compete with the DS and PSP consoles.
Interesting article though.
Just let the psp die already and stand behind your new products.
Stupid, especially between experia play and psp2.
