"While Crysis 2 leak was completely negative, the leak of Killzone 3 however is actually positive from a gamers point of view."

I don't think its good because they (Developers) worked really hard on this game.

theonlylolking5579d ago

I care if its a good dev having their good game leaked but a bad dev like treyarch I dont care IMO.

Redman225579d ago (Edited 5579d ago )

Why stealing games is good for the gaming industry. Yeah...

If you don't believe the author just go ask the PC community... they'll tell you just how much they benefited from pirating games.

Idiots.

frostypants5579d ago

Yeah, this article is grasping at straws.

Piracy is wrong. Period.

HolyOrangeCows5579d ago (Edited 5579d ago )

This article basically says "It takes the pressure off of PC's back, because piracy didn't exist on the consoles before PS3 [lol]. Consoles are holding back PC OMGOMGOMG!"

So, it's good for PC elitists, not gaming.

thugbob5579d ago

Good for gaming???

Good for PC fanbois perhaps, but in the end it's bad for developers.

ikkeweer5579d ago (Edited 5579d ago )

Why is it even called leaking?, It's plain stealing.

OT: Yeah I read it and he makes sense in a very twisted way.
But I'm not sure if "the good" the stealing of KZ3 does to PC-gaming outweighs the harm it does to console gaming. Overall I still think gaimng loses.

2 users who disagreed are PIRATES!

pirate #2: AAAAARGHHH aye aye make a copy for me
pirate #1: Sure

Eamon5579d ago

pirate #1: Arrighty then!

Iroquois_Pliskin5579d ago

pirate #2: gonna have to be takin this eyepatch off if i wanna play killzone

Gothdom5579d ago

arghhh! ye best be keepin' it for not seeing the fact that ye cannot be playin' online.

Mr Logic5579d ago

Actually it is very possible and quite easy to play online PSN with a hacked PS3 fyi.

(Note I am not condoning this, just stating a fact)

UnwanteDreamz5579d ago (Edited 5579d ago )

Didn't they kill the DNS trick for accessing PSN? Didn't know they had already released the new CFW. If not then you are wrong Mr. Logic.

Biggest5579d ago

Yeah, he is wrong. That fact is now completely false.

jut4205579d ago

I think he forgot to add the words pirates at the end of the title

SuperStrokey11235579d ago

This is a weak justification at very best...

blackburn55579d ago

What is with this piracy is good for the PS3 nonsense that people are coming up with? Why exactly is it good that people are tearing into their system and copying their games? How exactly did you guys come up with that?

kaveti66165579d ago

more ps3s are sold.

that's how it happened with ps2

For the gladiators among you, you’ll also get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the development of Ryse: Son of Rome and the attention to detail that went into it.

There's too many games to choose from

No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

FinalFantasyFanatic547d ago

30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.

Storm23547d ago

Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

lockedongamer1547d ago (Edited 547d ago )

I only picked first-party titles. Otherwise, I agree!

EDIT: Except for Days Gone, I don't get the love for it but you do you!

Chocoburger538d ago

I didn't like Days Gone either, it doesn't deserve to be on any best of list.

Up there with the top tier in the industry. Love Guerrilla Games - Horizon Burning Shores is simply STUNNING.

1Victor1113d ago

Can’t wait for their next franchise

SullysCigar1113d ago

Same. They nailed it with Horizon. The trouble is I also want a new Killzone! Can't I just have it all?!

jznrpg1113d ago

I’m with you I want Horizon 3 , Killzone and new IPs

badz1491113d ago

I have yet to play Burning Shores as I just started Forbidden West (bought at launch, just unwrapped last weekend LOL) and playing on PS5.

man...I still can't believe the graphics especially now I'm playing it on my LG OLED. that graphics and with stable performance backing it up, GG really is the master of their craft!

Vengeance11381113d ago

32.7M sales in the Horizon franchise! With 8.4M coming from Forbidden West alone! Truly a hugely successful game and franchise as a whole. Looking forward to Horizon III

Shane Kim1113d ago

That's kind of a huge drop though. It's only been two games.

VersusDMC1113d ago

One year after realease HZD sold 7.6 million.

https://www.noobfeed.com/ne...

So not a drop off.

Unless you're saying a HFW should have sold as much now as HZD sold in 5 years?

Vengeance11381113d ago

It's been 3 games, this includes Call of the Mountain. Also no, its a great improvement over HZD.

solideagle1113d ago

lol you are comparing:

HZD: 28 February 2017 - May 2023 (6 years+)

HFW: 18 February 2022 - May 2023 (1 year+)

We will see if it surpass original number.

Phoenix761113d ago

@shane, 2 full main games, 2 DLC add ons, 1 VR spin off game, oh and a an official LEGO set.
Not too bad for an ip that's only been on market for 6 years

REDGUM1113d ago

Wow, very impressive. I didn't know the numbers were so high for Forbidden West. Still playing through it myself

thesoftware7301113d ago (Edited 1113d ago )

Yooo, when I first saw that Killzone 1 footage at E3, my friends my brothers and I were like, Holy shit! When it came out, it didn't look exactly like it, but we sunk so many hours into 1 & 2.

I even liked Killzone: SF, it was a spectacle to look at, and even today it looks good. I hope they make a new one. Can you imagine how that will look, and they can get some modern FPS pointers from Bungie.

blacktiger1113d ago

thank you fps lover, I'm with you

talocaca1113d ago

Such a wonderful studio. They deserve all their success.

The Decima Engine is absolute 🔥 I'm just mad they have abandoned Killzone.

OzzY-waZZy1113d ago (Edited 1113d ago )

Kinda wish they move on from Horizon tbh.

lukasmain1113d ago

They are probably working on mutiple projects. One of them is Horizon 3, but another is a multiplaer game and probably somehting else.

Imalwaysright1113d ago

There were rumours that they were working on a Socom reboot.
