NextGN writes: "Halo: Combat Evolved HD has been rumored to be released November 15th, 2011, to celebrate the franchise’s 10th Anniversary. Halo is an amazing franchise and Combat Evolved, pretty much, set the standard for future first person shooter console games — for both good and bad. It was a very influential game for its time, it brought a lot to the table that even today is still around."

GOG appears to be teasing potential re-releases of Konami's survival horror game, Silent Hill, and Xbox Game Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved.
It's crazy to think that GOG will have Silent Hill 1/2/4, Dino Crisis 2, and Resident Evil 2/3 before the PSN. What the actual fudge is Sony even doing over there?
I will probably pick up Silent Hill 1 right away if GOG gets it, I grabbed BOF4 as soon as it was released, haven't picked up Dino Crisis yet since I already bought it on PS.

Xbox Game Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved Remake is reportedly planned to release in late 2026 to celebrate 25 years of Xbox.
They coulda started with Halo 3 remake ... I know Halo CE remaster was not proper with the art style but still, remaking after a remaster seems dull, when Halo 3 and Reach have started to show some age.

A new Halo Combat Evolved glitch has been discovered that allows players to control the iconic Halo ring itself.
I can live without one for now, I did love CE but I'm sure it can wait for a few more years or even until next gen, I can't imagine what we will get in terms of graphics next gen
To those that say they dont want a Halo CE remake the only thing I can say is dont freaking buy it...thats about as simple as it gets.
IDK... Did we need God of War HD or Sly Cooper HD?
Exactly; yes we need Halo HD.
Yes we really do.
Any other questions?
ok, so his point is that they cant leave the game as is or else one group or the other will complain about it...leave it, and ppl will complain about the unbalanced weapons, change it and the die hard, hardcore fans will complain it isnt the same game
this is a simple fix...have 2 different weapons balances, one for campaign and one for multiplayer...keep the weapons and everything as is for campaign, but tweak it for multiplayer....bungie already does this for halo reach, and the most obvious proof of this is the wraith...in campaign or firefight, the arc and speed of the shots are WAY faster and lower than in multiplayer, so do the same with the remake...keeping campaign exactly the same will keep the hardcore fans happy, and since halo ce didnt exactly have online multiplayer, there isnt really much to compare (the weapons damage, fire rate, etc.) with. yes i know there was system link and playing on one xbox, but it shouldnt be too much of a problem tweaking weapons when ppl dont have a problem with devs doing that nowadays
