"Move over Tom Clancy, a new game is in town and vying to set the standard by which co-op tactical FPS games are judged."

lol what Tom Clancy as to do with it?

gcolley5557d ago

rainbox six and ghost recon naturally. these games are infinitely improved when in co-op due to the tactical nature of the missions. pretty obvious really.

Co-op is where this game in particular shines despite the negative reviews it received. 4 player co-op is awesome for a game of this type.

I see i meant the guy that writes novels xD

Yeah after the first instalment. Parading that there game was something beyond and turned out to be utter trash. I will never touch a ARMA wanna be again

rugis5557d ago (Edited 5557d ago )

Arma wannabe? Are you fucking stupid? Operation Flashpoint came out WAY before Arma was around. Nice try.

EDIT: And here is some proof for you. If you want the release dates of the original Operation Flashpoint and Arma, I can go there too, but I think this will suffice: "In 2006, Bohemia Interactive released a sequel called ArmA: Armed Assault. It is based on an improved Flashpoint engine and it was released under the title ArmA Combat Operations in the United States on May 1, 2007. ArmA: Armed Assault's successor ARMA 2 was released on June 19, 2009."

hey dumb ass operation flash point did come out before ARMA but dragon rising wasnt made by the same people the people made the original flashpoint made the gameARMA and ARMA 2. so how about u take a hot glass of shut the F$%K u little know it all.

Tristanh825557d ago

how about next time u get your facts right before u go read your wiki page a think u know it all

rugis5557d ago

Still you, because Arma was based off of an Operation Flashpoint engine. Regardless of Dragon Rising, you phrased your post as "Arma wannabe" basically wording, that Operation Flashpoint, REGARDLESS of which OF game, that OF ripped off Arma.

The fact that the same people made Arma, doesn't mean shit. You are stupid, and you have no idea how to speak English. Not to mention, I had to use a fucking translator to decode your messages, as it looks like you just slammed your head against your keyboard and called it a response. So you are still the idiot, and you are still misinformed.

And oh, any dipshit can tell that Operation Flashpoint came out before Arma, so how low is your IQ for you not to know that? Also, I didn't need Wiki to tell me what is what, as I could have found that information elsewhere, Wiki was just the most convenient, and considering it is the proper information, I'm curious as to how it isn't a fact.

Still won't beat Arma 2. Best FPS of 2010

rugis5557d ago (Edited 5557d ago )

Arma 2 was released in 2009.

EDIT: You can't call an expansion a whole new game, as it does what it is called, an expansion, meaning all it does is add new things.

Kon5557d ago

Operation Arrowhead was released in 2010, so...

If your into headshots at 1000 meters with a iron sight M4 then you wont like OF Dragon Rising. This game is about realism. I loved Dragon Rising. Cant wait to get Red River. I read so many posts where people said they shot at the enemy guys and couldnt hit them. Its becaus you have to compensate for distance. Dosent get any cooler than that. Its not a run and gun either, its like chess-with full automatic weapons. Great game for 4 player co-op.

Off Topic: John man I can't wait for your game!

Some mediocre - crap games there. Couldn't even include any Codemasters racing games? It's the only thing they're good at.

Canadiangamernet4298d ago

Including the Dirt series in the bundle would have been awesome but i wouldn't say they are crappy games. I liked Overlord 1 & 2 and both Operation Flashpoint are decent FPS the other one are so so for me.

guitarded774298d ago

Like I said... crappy to mediocre. I liked Overlord too. Didn't care for Operation Flashpoint. But eve liking Overlord, I have no illusions that it isn't a mediocre game.

AntsPai4298d ago

Even though it's still technically a good deal, the whole $5 or £4 thing annoys me. Humble bundle doesn't do this. No thanks.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River - The Shooter That Could Have Been The Greatest

Mobile & Apps: "One of the most underrated shooters of the previous generation was Operating Flashpoint: Red River for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. With all its problems, I believe this is a game that is worth playing, however, it is not too hard to see why the game didn't quite kick off, as it should have."

I liked it, didn't quite finish it though. Maybe I will now.

Loved this game, it was dumbed down from Dragon Rising but still an enjoyable game. Was still offputting to people looking for instant/non stop action

Theangrybogan4856d ago

Ha! Some colleagues and I are actually planning on hitting this one up tonight. Great game.
