Limited or Legendary Edition?

It seems like just about every AAA title coming out nowadays ships with a Limited Special Collector's Super Crazy Awesome Edition or two for those hardcore fans that want the ultimate experience. Naturally, Halo 3 is no different, and the folks at Microsoft have give us not one, not two, but three versions of the game. While the regular edition of the game doesn't really offer much aside from the game itself (seriously, that on its own is worth the price of admission), the Legendary and Limited Editions both offer some serious bang for the buck. However, does that mean that they're worth your hard-earned money?

I just want to play games. I don't need the extra clutter that comes with them, much less pay extra for it.

But some people do, so I sincerely hope they enjoy the added bonuses of the special packages.

I don't care how they made, who made it, how much fun they had, or what trouble they had.

i only get the special editions if its a game i know im going to resell after im tired of it, or i get it for the badass case ( sucker for them cases)

the standard edition is fine for me, i hate big chunky cases
bioshock was perfect in the steel book edition because it looks nice and still fits in my DVD rack, halo 3 really should have had a steel book version too, that would have been awesome!

I reserved the Legendary because 1. I'm a collector of novelty items and things that are only available for a short amount of time 2. I'm a BIG fan of the series and 3. my cat needs a helmet because cat + helmet = Lulz.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
