For years now, PC gamers have had to endure continual statements from console developers and analysts proclaiming that their platform of choice is in a rapid decline, and at worst, “dead.” As basic observations show, PC gamers are instead purchasing their favourite games through digital download outlets, such as Steam, but with Steam and co. refusing to release their figures there is no supporting evidence, unlike on consoles, where research group NPD publishes figures every month.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Naw, pc gaming isn't dead. The pro market in the US isn't as strong as the EU/Asian areas. But pro gaming on the pc is still here. =)
Ok give it a rest. Pc gaming is still huge. If pc is dead, playstation is dead too.
Give up, PC gaming can't die.
