A dramatic look at the visual effects employed in Visceral Game's Dead Space 2.

Former Visceral Games devs reveal Dead Space's marketing budget was cut in favor of Mirror's Edge because of mock review scores.
I wish EA would just release a DS2 remake. DS is my favorite horror game and DS2 is the best one in the franchise. But because DS1 failed to meet certain numbers EA scrapped the DS2 remake. SH2 remake was great rumors are Konami might be asking for another SH remake. The RE2 remake was great EA just needs to give it another try. But all they seem to do is shitty sports games that are no different from the year before. Change a few players, add different uniform colours, maybe change a team logo. Wash, rinse, repeat.
I bought Dead Space during launch window and I never bought a Mirror's Edge game .

Visceral Games, formerly known as EA Redwood Shores, was an American video game developer studio owned by Electronic Arts. In 1998, Electronic Arts moved from San Mateo, California to a new corporate headquarters building which they had constructed in Redwood Shores, California. In this move, they founded a new division at this location, named EA Redwood Shores, which operated under the general ‘EA Games’ brand.

All playable from October 1.
Completed it last week - some great lighting effects in the game. Use TK to pick up one of the lamps lying around to see what I mean, really feel the textures could've used more work though (playing it maxed on PC) and the lack of MSAA is pretty terrible.
I haven't played "Dead Sapce 2"... is that like "Dead Space 2"?
Played the PC version.
It's decent and all but not "amazing" graphics-wise. A lot of textures are sub par. But hey the game is dark so they can fool you even when using sub par textures. Can't blame them too much for being "efficient".
At least we have a PC version.
DoF and Motion Blur and Blur are limited to cutscenes, other interactive scenes and "monster grabs". It sucks.
DS1 had better implementation of DoF, M Blur and Blur THROUGHOUT the whole game and that's even on the PS3 version!
Good for those who don't notice and get too immersed on the game though. It's just annoying at the back of my head since I already noticed and several too have confirmed this.
Seriosly Youtube sucks no matter how fast your internet connection is it always buffering every second.
i love that video :)
