From Wired:
"The PlayStation 3 is so, so very lucky that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is exclusive to the platform. I just got finished with an extensive hour-long demo of the Tokyo Game Show playable version, and I am in love all over again. The demo showcased the return of so many of the things that make MGS great -- stealth action, a wide variety of weaponry and gadgets, and riveting storytelling -- but added a whole array of new features."
"What Metal Gear Solid 4 won't feature is any substantial Sixaxis control. Although the team at Kojima Productions had experimented with various ways of using the PS3's tacked-on motion sensitivity, like shaking the controller to do a barrel roll, they've decided not to use them. "Sixaxis is pretty hard to work with," says Kojima Productions' Ryan Payton, "as other developers have found out." What MGS4 will feature is rumble, thanks to the Dual Shock 3 controller."

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD have been delisted from digital stores without warning.
Stupid headline. Should state that they are being updated or discontinued. This makes the crazy people that only read headlines think it some kind of conspiracy to take away peoples already purchased games.
If you want to all of a sudden own them now and haven't played them yet because a remastered is coming out, shame on you. I can't believe people are complaining about this 15 years later when it was bound to happen anyway. "A new remaster is out, quick, I'd better buy the original from the shop."
Gamers: "Physical? who needs physical? everyone knows that digital online games are the future. stop living in the past. we don't need no stinking disc drive"
Same gamers: "How dare the delist a digital game that I own!!!!"

The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱

An article looking at the symbolic meaning behind the cigarettes in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

its the fans what made this game what it is today. MG1 is what started this and is how its going to end. with the playstation brand. MG doesn't care about graphics, its all about great story-line and great connections with the fans. he's been good to us and we'll be good to them.
We all know this game is huge.Eat your heart out haters!:P
same time or 3 months after the ps3 version. lol i cant help but to laugh at 360 ignorance. and then some kid said he didnt like the camera angles in part 2, so he never liked mgs at all because of that. clearly he hasnt played part 3 or even SEEN 4. then another one said, what is the ratio of cutscenes to gameplay, OBVIOUSLY HE HAS NEVER PLAYED METAL GEAR BECAUSE HE DOESNT REALIZE HOW MUCH GAMPLAY IT IS, but i bet he wants to go buy that movie MASS EFFECT.
Warhawk
This game will help me wait and along with COD4 and Unreal i should have no problem killing a couple months till MGS is on the shelfs
