Homefront Preview

Now, how’s this for a game idea? You play a rebel freedom fighter in near-future America, trying to battle the oppression set in by a North Korean invasion, where the son of Kim Jong-il - Kim Jong-un - has taken over as an iron-fisted dictator. Outside of the US, it might be a tad nationalistic, but overall it’s actually a pretty cool premise. This is the premise of Homefront, which was covered a little bit last November when we took the first level for a hands-on run. Since then, the multiplayer aspect has now been revealed.

Another game that could have been good if the 360 and PS3 didn't hold it back

WhiteNoise5499d ago

The game is launching with LAN play, bot matches, more players per match, sli and crossfire support in game at launch. Dedicated servers, nvidia 3d ( for the sheep who care ). DX 11 graphics. Clan support, first person vehicle cockpit view

I don't think exclusivity matters.

i dont like how KAOS taking features like first person cockpit view out of PS3/360 version. Just to make pc version of the game feel better. Not allowing gameplay elements like that will hurt this game in long run with console owners.

This game looks kinda cool, but I'm still unsure about buying this. I've been playing modern war shooters ever since Socom 2, and I'm getting bored of them now. There is a possiblity that the single player campaign might be alot like MW2 which is ok, but I've done all this before. And now with KZ3, Crysis2 comming out within a month of eachother, I'm not too sure I'll jump on this.

Without both the console iterations it wouldn't even be in the press. What do you mean "hold back"?

I think this game is going to give a solid delivery to the gamer despite whatever people are saying about it.. I really like THQ and I think it will do generally good.
