Rift looks like an awesome game in the same vein as WOW but just a whole lot prettier. I believe it has the turn base fighting mechanics which is not my cup of tea.

TERA looks to be my choice as real time combat and twitch gaming has my interest. seen a ton of video of this game and it's very colorful and nicely done. can't wait to get more in depth info on these two blockbusters.

Rift doesn't have turned based mechanics. You don't take turns fighting your opponents. The combat is in real time, the only difference between it and TERA is that in TERA you have to aim your attacks and abilities with a reticule, whereas in Rift, your abilities automatically attack whatever enemy you have targeted (like virtually all MMOs).

TERA is gorgeous and the combat looks really fun, but I have a feeling that it might be a little too Korean for me...seeing 7 year old girls swinging 150 pound axes like they are nothing kinda takes the immersion out of it for me, and you know that everyone and their mom is going to be playing that race simply because they think it's "funny".

Yeah what's up with the 20 yard long swords anyway? You think they would just Pole Vault over the enemies.

Good, this game was great when it launched, but it's been turned into a nightmare of a product since.
