Bulletstorm Demo Graphics Comparison: PS3 vs. Xbox 360

GameDynamo - "We decided to compare HD screen captures from both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the Bulletstorm demo to see if we could pick up on any substantive differences between the two heavy-hitting consoles. Alas, there is no PC demo available, so we weren't able to include RC Cola in this Pepsi Challenge."

It's a tie. All versions suck. If I wanted a witty shooter that was different from the rest then I would get Duke Nukem Forever.

Pixelated_Army5604d ago (Edited 5604d ago )

It's a tie? The PS3 version has better textures. The 360 version looks dull and washed out...nice try though.

JUDALATION5604d ago

IM sticking with VEGETA9000!! Who cares if the PS3 version is better? Unless it comes with a pair of ta-tas no way I will be gettin it when It comes out the same day as KILLZONE 3!

hay5604d ago

"Below you'll find several screen captures we've taken for comparison purposes. Note that these photos were taken with the same camera, from the same angle and distance, with the exact same lighting conditions (lights completely off), and on the same HD display, both consoles set at 1080p output."
Those aren't direct feed. Xbox may be washed out due to TV settings, which they didn't mention. I smell trolls.

@ Pixelated_Army

Dont know if anyone told you this but you should be honored that im telling you .... you sir are a fanboy.

Pixelated_Army5604d ago

"you sir are a fanboy"

lol

Thank you sir. I know it and I'm proud.

nveenio5603d ago (Edited 5603d ago )

These aren't direct feed, which means the comparison is an instant fail. That being said, I played the demo on PS3, and I thought it looked just fine. But I wasn't impressed with the gameplay. Might be cool with a mouse and keyboard, but pulling off the best stunts is just too intricate with the DS3.

@ vegeta900

LMAO ! i dunno how u got anyone to agree with that statement !

Tachyon_Nova5604d ago

Look at the screenshots, the PS3 version looks much much cleaner and more detailed.

Tinasumsum5604d ago

Developer comments about the 360 was taken out of context. He was talking to Xbox media so he said 360 but he was talking about consoles in general versus PC. LMAO

This site is just trying to get hits by twisting words and misleading gamers. Those pics in this article were swapped around to back up their BS.

http://www.eurogamer.pt/vid...

The PS3 version is the faded pics and the darker ones are the 360 pics, everybody knows this and have known it for days. I can't believe these clowns and fanboys are trying to deceive people.

sobekflakmonkey5604d ago (Edited 5604d ago )

i've played both, the ones of the right are xbox 360, you can tell because the 360 version has "god rays" and the ps3 version doesnt, if someone took a snap shot from both the 360 and PS3's "press Start" screen, you would clearly notice that these are not a lie...

Tinasumsum5604d ago

Disagree with proof! LMAO go read the developer interview again and go look for comparisons that actually show the controller buttons in the screen shots. Boy the PS3 side is getting desperate.

SkylineR5604d ago

Yeah that video definitely shows a sharper more detailed 360 version. The demo was pretty average though so no big deal.

Tinasumsum5604d ago

I think I'm going to pass on this but I hate people that make gaming personal to the point of bleeding into other things other than playing them. What kind of people take gaming so serious they do nothing but attack the competing console? Lie and mislead people!?

gamer20105604d ago (Edited 5604d ago )

I've played both demos and I can tell you beyond a shadow of the doubt that they do not look like these screenshots. The 360 version looked a little clearer and had somewhat sharper looking textures than the PS3 version, yet in these screenshots it almost seems the other way around. The only explanation is that they mixed up the screenshots.

Also, if you look at the lens of truth comparison it looks way different than this guy's screenshots. Lens of truth use direct captures, while this guy supposedly just took pictures of his tv. All I can say is that what I saw between the two versions was much more similar to the screenshots on lens of truth.

I really doubt the PS3 could outdo the 360 in the UE3 department. Someone must've deliberately swapped picturs to troll the forums. If this is the case, Epic really has failed the 360 if this is the "up-to-date" engine for the UE3.

kopicha5603d ago

the screenshot is very inaccurate. i have downloaded both demo for 360 and ps3 since day 1 and did a comparison. the 360 version look better for this one. the shots for 360 in this article looks mostly blur out like as if its running at a lower res while ps3 is running native hd. the fact is not this case. in reality ps3 version look really close to the 360 version. but 360 still have slight edge overall. the textures in ps3 version actually are of lower quality and its very obvious. also lighting effect is much better on the 360 counterpart. over all the 360 version actually looks more cleaner.

does not matter anyway, crysis 2 definitely look better than this one regardless of platform. most importantly KZ3 on PS3 is coming (having fun with the OBT now) this game is not worth the time imo

I don't even know why I came here. This game holds no interest to me as it is just a game built around the gimmick that we will enjoy killing retarded enemies in slowmo using spiked walls and shit. No online multiplayer either. The most I see this getting is an 8.5

sobekflakmonkey5604d ago

it actually does have online multi-player......

Duty Calls - Epic Games' Forgotten Call of Duty Parody

Back in 2011, Epic Games and People Can Fly launched a Call of Duty parody - Duty Calls - that has been lost to the annals of history.

closed_account1087d ago

"Duty Calls: The Calm Before the Storm" sounds more like a massive case of the sh**s. 😂

I saw the parody mention, and half expected the ability to drop a deuce on your opponent... I left disappointed.

Bulletstorm - A Cult Classic Worthy of Revival?

Bulletstorm will soon receive a VR remake, but is it worth revisiting? Take a look back at the original 2011 release.

IMissJimRyan1094d ago

Absolutely. I remember when the game came out on ps360, I thought: "wow, another shooter" and in the 7th gen that wasn't an unfair reaction.

But when the game was re-release on ps4 I took my time an played it (it was on playstation plus at the time) because, ironically, I missed a shooter in that console. And boy, what a fun game! They made a game to be played and not to be watched. It was a fresh air in the genre that deserved better.

So yes. Maybe it find its audience this time.

SullysCigar1094d ago

It's an awesome game. The only exception (for my taste) is the script writing, which is OTT, but I guess that's what they were going for. It does at least match the OTT action and gore. I thought it was great overall and actually being in this game is going to be bonkers!

IMissJimRyan1094d ago

Yeah, I agree that storywise it's not an Oscar nominee, but it's like a porn movie in game format.

Abnor_Mal1094d ago (Edited 1094d ago )

Agree with the over the top script, and felt at the time that was the only thing that people were hyped about, the language and not game play.

But in vr this game is going to be great. It has everything that would make a great vr game. Lots of bombastic action, gunplay, blood, and that leash.

Looking at the gameplay now it seems that the game was ahead of it’s time and was perfect for vr before vr wasn’t even off the ground.

Venoxn4g1094d ago

I loved the game back in the day and will love in VR even more!

Yui_Suzumiya1094d ago (Edited 1094d ago )

I got it on PS3 at launch and am still waiting for the long rumored sequel to finally be announced. Currently have it on Switch and wish a physical version of that would be released. Absolutely love it.

FinalFantasyFanatic1094d ago

I actually feel like this game gets revived all the time, not that I hate the game, I actually quite like it, it's just constantly available, unfortunately I'm not a fan of VR so I'll be skipping this version.

Bloodborne is a game I still restart and play every few months. I would welcome just a re release in 60fps with a visual upgrade. It's a perfect game. If I was king for a day I would include the randomizer mods because then it would be a kind of rogue like and I could play it forever.

danglyparts1129d ago

Sure, ill take a sequel to all of these.
