Demons Souls was, and this is obviously a sequel of the same franchise. Demons's Souls. Dark Souls... Even the main player in all the trailers looks almost identical to the one in DS!

i dont know. working at game crazy ive seen alot of 360 gamers give up on ninja gaiden because it was hard (Imagine that, you have to block)

The only thing that would hold up DS on the 360 is XBL Gold. Otherwise there wouldn't be any online content with just XBL "Free," and cross-game chat would ruin the solitary atmosphere of the game. You'd only have friends jumping into games.

I played DS on the PS3, but I will get this on the 360, mainly due to the fact that the servers won't be shut down on the 360. I rarely post on this site due to the fanboy crushing comments. But, yes, that is the deciding factor for me.

Does it really matter what console it's on? Do you not want the game to sell better than the first one? It would make sense to cater to a bigger audience, right?

Of course the 360 can handle it. My problem is I was late to getting Demon Soul's and have not finished it or even made it past the first Arch stone. I got the ring but cannot seem to get past the dragon yet.

But I cant help but think of Ninja Theory and the backlash they took.

I can understand you would want to broaden your userbase when you have a smaller fanbase, but at the same time, when you have a smaller selection of fans, you want to make sure you keep them happy and not slight them in any way.

I'm pretty sure it'll be on at least 2-3 discs on the Xbox 360.

PS3 will use a single layer Blu-ray disc.

PS3 version I'm confident will be fine since I'm sure that'll be the lead platform.

Xbox 360 version they'll have to work around that storage space issues or find some new compression techniques to minimize the loss of graphical quality on that platform.

Still I'm sure there will be some buyers on the Xbox 360 for this game maybe not as much as PS3 but still enough copies to warrant the decision to go multiplatform.

Besides I didn't really believe Demon Souls was a graphical powerhouse it's more about the story, gameplay, and difficulty then anything else.

Because that trailer got me hyped, I just this minute ordered Demons Souls for £14.86 from Shopto.net. Been meaning to get it for ages. Should be good! Get me ready for Dark Souls. There are plenty of hardcore 360 owners. A lot of them probably own PS3's and have Demons Souls....like myself. So kind of a silly article. Although I don't expect this to be as well received on 360, I hope it does well all the same. I know I'll support it, especially if I enjoy demons souls.

I don't think it'll sell well on the 360 platform. Either way, if Demon's Souls is any indication, Dark Souls will be incredible.

As a owner of both systems and a wii i get offended by such flame bait articles. I was just on xbl today with several of my friends who dont own a ps3 and they all no of Demon's Soul and no of Dark Souls. They all said they are getting it and look forward to it. It doesnt seem like a game that was pushing the hardware. It looked good but i wouldnt be concerned about 360's abilities handling this game. if we considered other games like GOW3, or KZ3, or U3, then yea there would be concerns. but with Dark Souls, i think everyone will b happy with the final product.

Can the xbox 360 handle it technically? Yes, I believe so. It was nothing ground-breaking graphics wise; there's no reason the 360 can't handle it.

Will the 360 users buy it? There will be some sales, so it's a good idea.

Can the 360 userbase "handle" it? i.e. the difficulty? Hmm, as if there's not enough 10 year-old's whining during CoD and Halo, what's going to happen if THIS game comes to the 360? Maybe murders.

I think the game will play well on both systems.. Granted, the majority of cross-platform games do.. for example BFBC2 plays extremely well in my opinion on either console.

Go play Dead Rising(not the easier DR2) and make it 72 hours with all survivors and we can talk about challenging. This is just one example of difficulty not being an issue with 360 gamers.

DS was nothing special graphically and I would say Ninja Blade looked better and had more going on so no worries with horse power.

there will be buyers on the 360. but its foolish to think it will be successful, i predict <100k sales total.

360 is a shooters dream box, and the past has shown exactly that. On top of that dark souls is more of niche jrpg title, and niche titles havent done historically well on the 360. Those that do buy the game will be playing, hopefully, and amazing game.

As a niche title, From Software are wise to maximise their consumer base. I don't think it's particularly helpful (to anyone) to identify Xbox owners as FPS fanatics to a man. This might just be the niche action RPG that many Xbox owners have been waiting for!

That said, established Demon's Souls fans will probably ensure higher PS3 sales.

This topic has no value in and of itself, they could have asked the devs if they thought there was a market for their game on the 360, and then commented on their response. That would be journalism. All my friends who have a 360, that i know IRL, play only (insert sports games) or COD. None of them have ANY interest in other genres. The only time they don't play shooters is when they come by my house and i pretty much make them play any non-shooters.

Also i think i should say that many people are right that PS3 users do play shooters. I have most of the exclusives as well as BC2. However the 360 userbase just doesn't buy other genres like the PS3 userbase does. Not saying that people who like shooters are dumb or whichever way you want to take it. just that 360 users like shooters more.

If they can make money putting it on 360 so that they can profit enough to make a Demons Souls 3, I'm all for it.

Everybody know that Final Fantasy XIII was biggest exlusive because the graphics and battle system also was amazing in trailers but after M$ paid too much for this game we didn't see that at all

I played Deamons Souls on the PlayStation. One of the best Games there and i am happy that Dark Souls will come to the 360 too.

But Deamon Souls is not as hard as it hyped here. I played through it several times and it is hard, but its ok. Ninja Gaiden on Hard is much more difficult. I did not beat it. (not the easy-Version on the PS3, i mean the realy challenge on 360).

Anyway i will buy Dark Souls for the 360 and iam sure i can handle this Game:)
