BMC - The Mass Effect 2 Dilemma

BMC - You may not know this about me, but I’m not too big on making decisions. I’m not necessarily talking about the major life-changing ones that people love to make a big deal of, though I do approach those with a sensible amount of trepidation. No, the decisions that I suffer with the most are typically the ones that will the least impact on my life.

Honestly if you have both games already and have save files on either 360 or PC, I wouldn't bother getting it (which I'm not). There's really no point. It's the same game. If I ditched my save files from Mass Effect 1 I would feel like I was missing out on a lot of content in two (which you do, there are tons of characters that don't show up if you don't import them, as well as side quests) which would carry over into three. I want to see everything the world has to offer, not just what the PS3 version allowed me to see.

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman532d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave780d ago (Edited 780d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
