That sucks :( One of the most famous franchises has the most laziest developers :( ive heard alot of rumours about that and im glad i got it comfirmed now. Been 3 years since GTA IV there should atleast be another one announced by now!

I'll agree. There hasn't been much overall change since GTA3. At least, not enough to write home about.

After Just Cause 2, urban cities aren't too interesting.

GTA just got better and better up to San Andreas which I think it did peak... But saying that I still loved GTAIV, I just missed the quirkiness, characters and the variety what San Andreas had.

i was slightly disapointed with gta4 but they took steps back in the right direction with tbogt.

GTA 4 played around with technology very well but it abandoned much of the awesome gameplay we saw in the older games... Thats about all there is to say about it really. I for one am not disappointed yet, GTA 5 will be the decider.

but i want to comment about the content on GTA4 rather then the engine

san andreas had it all in terms of content, then rockstar go backwards with GTA4

if the content isn't up to scratch it could look like killzone 2 for all i care and it still wouldnt been worth playing

I'm bettin' we'll see LA Noire release, then Agent release date, then GTAV announcement in that order. I just don't really see Max Payne fitting in, no idea how and when that's gonna happen.

Rockstar made the GTA series then the RDR series and now they are coming with L.A. Noir and what ever Agent is. I think being stagnate was good as it allowed enough time to come up with great ideas for "living City" games.

It's better to perfect the tech and their craft instead of rushing CRAP out.

I have a feeling we won't see or hear an gta5 announcement anytime soon because R*:

*is publishing L.A. noire

*developing Max Payne

*lastly, working on Agent

I'll say, a 2013 announcement is most likely.

Forget GTA, I wanna see some Agent.

Well Rock Star limited the exploration in GTA IV.
Red Dead: Redemption, L.A Noire, and Agent (PS3 Only) look like a step in the right direction.

GTA IV was pretty tiresome, it all felt a bit repetitive and in the end a bit of chore to finish.

I'm most looking forward to Agent and L.A Noire. I think they need to really think outside the box for GTA V, maybe if there was some way in which you could recruit and build your own gang/mob they could then add some more variety to the story and missions..

I dunno'... I've enjoyed every GTA sequel. Heck, I still play the old 2D version.

Just watch 'Pain and Gain' its pretty much a gta movie

Good, invest everything into the game. I'm not saying that there isn't room for crossovers (in either direction) but for the most part, they never translate all that well.

Besides, if you want a GTA movie, there's always Scarface.

Did ppl really want a movie, it would have been garbage like most of today's poor offerings.

Sadly too much CGI in everything these days. Overuse of blue-screens.

I'm sure the next GTA will give them billions more.

Why would someone want a generic movie based off a game? GTA is inspired by movies, makes no sense.

Making a new Midnight Club, is not worth the hassle either apparently.

Seems to be focused purely on what will make the most money and while that's understandable it may be a bit shortsighted. A GTA show of the quality of TLoU would be a great companion to the games as well as being profitable in itself.

I don't know, I can't blame them for being obsessed with profit. I just don't like them very much these days. Lost a lot of respect for them over the last decade.
