Bethesda's Brink: An Update

Fans of Bethesda will be relived to hear that Brink is destined to be released on May 17th 2011 in America, and May 20th 2011 in Europe. This comes as very welcome news as many people (including myself) have been eagerly awaiting this game ever since we saw those first gameplay trailers long ago. For those unfamiliar with Brink, here’s the basics. Brink is set in a post-apocalyptic Utopian city known as the “Ark”. The city is embroiled in a war between two sides, the “Resistance” and the “Security”. Both sides are playable and each side has their own, unique storyline. Brink offers extreme customization of both your character, and whatever weapon you decide to use. The weapons and costumes reflect each faction: the Resistance uses scavenged weapon parts and cobbled together armor, while the Security forces uses high-tech weaponry and body-armor. Despite what seems to be a vast technological rift between them, both sides are evenly matched when it comes to fighting it out in the city.

Pretty stoked about this game. Same day as L.A. Noire. Not sure which I will pick up day 1 but I will have both in my collection for sure.

QuantumWake5601d ago (Edited 5601d ago )

Just found out it does come out the same day as LA Noire. :(

Both are games that I REALLY want to buy. I'm leaning towards LA Noire a bit. But I'll try my best to try out both. Cause Brink is looking really impressive!

Is there any word on a demo for Brink?

B-Real2065601d ago

Not that I know of. Would be awesome though.

CaptainPunch5601d ago

Hopefully this game doesn't disappoint

xc7x5601d ago

still undecided about this game but i guess a demo would solve my problem

MidnytRain5601d ago

God, 2011 strikes again. L.A. Noire, Brink, or Red Faction: Armageddon? I'm sure I'm not the only one who will be making this choice. So far, they all look good, so I'm still undecided on which I'll be picking up.

FFS That's gonna be a hell of an expensive day.

MidnytRain5601d ago

You must be N4G's newest troll. You sure do get around.

Kon5601d ago

Sorry if i have an opinion. I'll try to be less expressive next time.

MidnytRain5601d ago (Edited 5601d ago )

@Kon
It's hardly a valid one. It has no basis or reference. I could go into any article right now and leave a comment that says, "Lame game" (a.k.a. TROLLING), but what would it mean? Nothing, especially if that article's game hasn't even released.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
