Telara is a world locked in turmoil. Six elemental realms threaten this world, and Telara's salvation depends on two opposing factions. On one side are the Guardians, warriors and champions reborn by the will of the gods, not for their virtue but for their military prowess. On the other are the Defiant, beings from the future that have seen the gods fail and have traveled back to succeed in their place.

Players can progress through 30 levels of challenges by completing daily and weekly quests, thus earning Battle Pass experience points and rewards. The Battle Pass can be played for free and will reward players with various consumables and a set of artifacts that will literally make their pants burn – the “Pants on Fire” effect

gamigo is pleased to announce it has assembled a hefty collection of in-game events, quests and items for the “Budgie Carnival Celebration” in its fantasy MMORPG, RIFT.

After an indeterminate amount of time, the Hellbugs have reared their ugly heads once again to invade Rift. It’s up to players to fight these hellish creatures to save Telara – and in doing so – earn a number of unique rewards that will display their dominance over the Hellbugs.
Sounds and looks really cool - but then again, so did APB. Might jump in on the beta though.
Have played in the past couple beta events, and the game is looking very good. Extremely polished, great visuals & sound, awesome class system, decent lore, somewhat boring quest progression. The Rift idea is pretty cool and really gets players in an area working together. My only question is how long will this last? I can see the Rifts/Invasions getting kind of boring after you've closed a rift for the hundredth time. I hope they have other ideas such as NPC led invasion in to enemy territory that players can also take part in (currently there are invasions but no mechanic for player characters to join the fun). If they push open world PvP in to the random group aspect of the game, I think they will have substantially more staying power.
I attached a few screenshots I took in the last beta event. I took over 50 screenshots over a couple of days; the game is quite stunning if you can max the settings.
