My editorial concerning Duke Nukem the man, the myth, the game.
"Over 14 years, we have been waiting for the follow-up to the 1996 hit game, Duke Nukem 3D. The snide, machismo, ruthless man who has saved the world from the invaders. He is a fictional character, but someone we believed in. 3D Realms gave us a character that kicked ass and chewed bubblegum. Then he ran out. The past decade has been tough for fans clammoring for the 4th game in the series “Forever”. It turned into a joke as the game has been rebuilt time and time again, delayed and delayed. Unfortunately 3D Realms ran out of money and 2K would no longer back them, and subsequently shut-down as a result. Many believed that “Duke Nukem Forever” died in 2009. Miraculously, at PAX 10, Gearbox Software announced that THEY were finishing Duke Nukem Forever and releasing it on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and of course PC. They even had hands-on demos! People actually got to play Duke Nukem Forever."

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."

Of course duke on n64 was amazing and made the series what it is today, but you can't take away from it's roots.

In the article it states that 3D Realms shut down, but they did not, they are still in business.
