All I can say is that I am disappointed. Home and Rumble delayed. Why even announce it? I'm sure it will be delayed again.

These are the things people complain about. Now, consumers know rumble is coming. There are plenty of people who will say, I'll just wait until rumble comes out, their may even be another price drop, double bonus.

SO guess what, by doing this, you only hurt your sales. Home being delayed is just another disappointing setback. We're promised ingame everything, and yet we still wait. Delaystation 3 ftl.

i don't think you take an opportunity like tgs to announce delays. They should have announced a beta or something. I mean the game was supposed to be released in less than a month and instead got pushed back by at least 5 months. Bull sh1t. I wonder why they are releasing rumble in japan 1st. i think am gonna have 2 import that if i can since uncharted already has rumble programmed in thats 1 game i would really like to experience with rumble and dnt wanna do it the second time cus it wnt feel the same

This is disappointing but what's important is that sony is taking time to give ps3 owners quality. I will rather wait then get a unfinished product. I mean, people complain when companies rush things, then when companies take their time they complain even more. Come on here guys make up your mind.

This blows. I've been waiting for this to launch in October, but now I have to wait until March or later :( Oh well hopefully everything will be perfect when it actually ships this Spring, and maybe they'll open the beta up again.

With delay after delay the one thing I found peace with was that soon I would have home but now this is going too far, if those rumours of MGS4 being out this year aren't true I think my sanity is at risk. I have been waiting to get a PS3 but with all the delays, even on multiplats, I'm not sure I want to scoop till they stop having so many. It would be like if Halo 3 got delayed two weeks a week ago, getting all hyped then learning you would have to wait longer, Lame! It would really put the breaks on the excitement I would have for the game. I dont get why this keeps happening, they have to know quite a bit in advance if a games going to make its release date why dont they announce it then. Home was like what 3-4 weeks away(please correct me if I'm wrong) and Lair was three weeks from release, WTF. It cost them money no doubt but it still keeps happening.

I was really looking forward to Home but it's not all that bad because I think it's safe to say that the ps3 has games now. While my 360 is getting fixed I am having a good time playing Ghost Recon, Warhawk and Heavenly Sword. Plus there is a plethura of games coming out mostly multi-plat and I was watching a video of UT3 on the psn and it looks good.

As for the open Beta for Home I hope they still have it but if not thats cool.

if they make it work next spring and its still free i will be more then happy to dig into it.

The funny thing is it took MS the whole life of the original Xbox to get live really doing anything. Then Xbox Live dramatically improved with the release of the 360. I was shocked how much of an improvement they made, and it’s been getting better and better. I also remember Sony stating that they can’t believe MS charges for the service or that it only supported high speed.
I guess my point of this is I don’t see how Sony things Home is going to be an over night success. One of the things that make XBL so great is that MS has insured that all games are XBL enabled to a point. This has been challenging for some developers and MS has had to work with them to insure that there code was up to par online example: Saints Row. They have had to learn a whole lot and as a result are much more experienced on the whole thing.
Call me silly which I’m sure most Sony fanboys will but I’m not sure how Sony expects to unify support with all games to support Home or how Sony is going to build the infrastructure quick enough to keep pace with all the people who want to play online if they do more power to them but at this point it seems like talk of a dream goal.

Its ia little disheartening but I can wait Sony it will make it better with from now to the realease date in spring.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
