To be fair though, once a PS3 developer makes a game like flower, most Ps3 fans just jump around suddenly being artsy-fartsy hippies.

His statement might have been over the top, I do not believe it would have done better on the Ps3 since most...well reading by the reactions from N4G...it would be too kiddy.

Call me when those games you mention hit sales of the big FPS on PS3 okay? ALso Last Guardian will be just like WKS and many other games. You PS3 guys will call it the most anticipated games of the year and then it wont sale like MOdnation, 3d dot heroes, and so many other games that werent shooters.

IN the future when you want to prove that games beyond shooters sale on the PS3 have some actual ones that compare to those FPS in sales.

Also, I refer you to my other comment in this thread that explains exactly how much I care about sales (not at all) and why. AND: The Last Guardian is my most anticipated game this year (this gen also), and I will definitely get it. I can't speak for the rest of the PS3 community, but I'll have done what I can to support games in other genres than FPS.

As the end-consumer, all I care about is that it's good. Before we knew which console the game would be for, there was all this talk of "innovative gameplay", and all we got was "paint and thinner". Big whoop. Most people forget that hardware limitations affect more than just graphics (which I care about as much as game sales, btw)--they affect gameplay first and foremost. And I can't begin to imagine the kinds of innovative gameplay we could've got on more powerful hardware.

But hey, you can keep admiring game SALES all you want--meanwhile, I'll be playing them.

I'm not judging the game at all. I'm just saying that its interesting to see the game sell only 1 million in one month, judging by the popularity of the name "Mickey" and the current size of the Wii's installed base. Not to mention the game had an amazing E3 presentation. Th game will probably have long life sales. And I can definitely agree with you on COD. COD is a great example of whats wrong with this generation of gaming.

You are talking about a last generation game. A game that came out well after the xbox 360 was released and two months before the release of the PS3. So of course its not gonna have impressive sales figures considering that its a game that came out this generation, but on a last generation console. Reason being, because people have moved on.

You cant use logic on trolls. They'll just find a random reason to spin it into something else. NOtice he has all kinds of reasons for OKami but cant think of why some people might not be buying 20 million copies of this game.

Point Sidar was trying to make is that install base means nothing. By your standards most of the PS2 library was a complete bomb because of the 100 million plus consoles out there and games like God of War only selling to roughly 2% of owners.

BTW dude going by the sales rate of BOTH the PS3 and 360 there were plenty of gamers left playing the PS2 when Okami came out.Nice BS excuse though. What about God Hand, Killer 7?
