The internet is a-buzz this week with rumors of a remastered Metal Gear Solid pack featuring the first three games of the series, currently in the works for the PlayStation 3. With this is mind, I decided to lay out what I would love to see from this re-mastery of a pack of masterful games. Some of these wishes may be outlandish while some are completely practical.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD have been delisted from digital stores without warning.
Stupid headline. Should state that they are being updated or discontinued. This makes the crazy people that only read headlines think it some kind of conspiracy to take away peoples already purchased games.
If you want to all of a sudden own them now and haven't played them yet because a remastered is coming out, shame on you. I can't believe people are complaining about this 15 years later when it was bound to happen anyway. "A new remaster is out, quick, I'd better buy the original from the shop."
Gamers: "Physical? who needs physical? everyone knows that digital online games are the future. stop living in the past. we don't need no stinking disc drive"
Same gamers: "How dare the delist a digital game that I own!!!!"
And? What is your point?
Same gamers: "How dare the retailers to delist (quit selling) a physical game that I own!!!!"
I think you just read the headline and don't know how dilisting works with Sony. It's common knowledge that:
"Players who already bought the games will still have them in their library and can download and play them as usual."
So again, what is your point?
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a remake of the original 2004 PlayStation 2 game from Konami and is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
A quote from Hideo Kojima brings up the notion of the wavering quality of modern day gaming, and a deconstruction of what constitutes a good game and artistic value follow suit.
Trophies would be sooooo good! I personally thought Raiden wasn't such a bad thing in Sons of Liberty, especially since they made him so much more badass in mgs4, but it's an interesting idea to play SoL through Snake the whole time.
Trophy support for MGS4 is long overdue, and they should just do it to show they care. But the biggest point you bring that would change my life (and many other gamers’) the most would be bringing Peace Walker to the collection being remastered. My PSP broke ages ago, and I will not rebuy it just for one game, as great as it probably is. It would be just that much more successful and renowned if more people got to experience it on their PS3.

I'm just excited that this series is getting an HD makeover. I really thought it would be sooner than this though.
