As first noted by Siliconera, Gears of War: Exile has been trademarked by Epic Games. The logo has been unveiled but the question is: What is Gears of War Exile?

Many games have to travel through a long arduous journey before they can see the light of day and make it to the shelves. Unfortunately, some titles are not as lucky and end up getting cancelled. These are 10 games we wish wouldn't have been cancelled.
Was Prey 2 ever officially cancelled? I could have sworn Bethesda was trying to find another developer.
Anyway, not sure it counts cuz it wasn't technically in development but, Shenmue III.
Sure wish that awesome Avengers game could've gone all the way before THQ went under.

PS3 and 360 have always appealed to the more serious gamers, and a push for blockbuster Kinect titles (decent ones) would mean hardcore gaming gold.
I have no idea. With so many hardcore games for Kinect that arent on-rails and all those games that "Better with Kinect" having the entire experience improved and expanded, Im genuinely baffled why hardcore gamers arent running out to buy it.
Oh wait, Kinect doesnt have any hardcore games nor do the games that support it get any improvements that make it a necessity. Mystery solved.
The truth is that they don't care. No matter how much people try to convince you otherwise, they don't care. No hardcore gamer would give up their controller for Kinect. The question is 'Why jump around and swing your arms everywhere when you can just pick up the controller and sit down'. So in short hardcore gamers don't care. And to make it worse casual gamers who are used to playing better games then Kinect games don't care either.I am talking about the Mario Kart, Sly Cooper, TMNT 2 type of casual not the play Angry Birds and any dumbed down game type of casual.
Because it adds nothing. Move and the Wii add little as well, but the physical controller does add a level of immersion Kinect simply can't.
Gears of War: Exile, possibly the rumored Gears of War Kinect title, has been cancelled. Cliff Bleszinski, the Epic Games design director, says that the rumored Kinect title is no longer in development.
"Let's just bury the hatchet now," Bleszinski said. "Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled."
Trademarks for the game were spotted in January 2011, and Xbox 360 World Magazine said the title was to be officially unveiled at the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo. Other than that, not much was known about the project.
Thank God... As much as I love GEOW series, a kinect spin off would have dented the reputation of Great series... GEOW series is for Hardcore gamers with alot of blood and gore... Kinect is for casual so basically they would axed blood and all the good stuff we love about the series, and they would have put hearts and ponies...lol...
“Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can’t give any details about that has since been cancelled.”
“Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can’t give any details about because we could not find a way to make Kinect working with a hardcore title and I can' t talk about ... oops!!"
Just joking, maybe they are so much focused on the new MS hardware and the new engine that they had to choose where put their resources. Maybe.
I'd like to see a Kinect enabled Gears of War game. It could be a fun experience.
