Molyneux should just stop this sh!t.RPGs has progressed a lot but fable 3 was just blasphemous.I will not compare it to DAO,ME2,Demons Soul etc.
bcoz its dismal even compared to Two worlds 2,Divinity 2 etc which are low budget,small studio products.

I'm a big fan of the Fable series. Every time Peter Molyneux gets up on his soap box and starts waxing poetic about his big dreams for the series, I give him the benefit of the doubt.

I got an Xbox for Fable. I got Fable 2 day one. I got Fable 3 through a great deal on Amazon in which I paid $32 TOTAL for Fable 3 AND Killzone 2.

Me and my wife got some enjoyment out of the game playing co-op (we married each other and had a kid. lol), however, the game is not good in any stretch of the imagination.

Fable 2 was a big disappointment, in that it removed a lot of the things that Fable 1 did well, and replaced them with not so fun things. Fable 3 seems to keep all of things that Fable 2 did poorly, and make them WORSE somehow.

Social interactions have been reduced to boring single person interactions that randomly give you an action that you MUST do with that person to earn their favor (or ire).

Combat is just as simplistic as ever, with the only really cool thing being spell-weaving (although the lighting/fire combo is the best in the game, honestly).

The dog is still pointless, even more so compared to Fable 2. The bread crumb trail is still useless (is it REALLY necessary to remove the map all together?), and the Sanctuary, while a neat idea on paper, in execution, it's just not as useful and fast as a simple menu.

The story is just as inconsequential and uninteresting as Fable 2, and the only character I found even remotely interesting was the asshole brother you overthrow to become king.

Speaking of becoming King; again, a neat idea on paper, but in execution, it's just HORRIBLY implemented and designed.

I'm being hard on the game, but it's because I still think the franchise holds such potential. I want the Fable Molyneaux promised that caused me to run out and buy an Xbox without a second thought.

There ARE some things that Fable 3 did better than Fable 2, but not much.

If they would just go back to the original Fable, take all of the elements that work, then take the few elements from Fable 2 and 3 that work, you'd get an excellent Fable game.

Unfortunately, Molyneaux loves to treat each new Fable like it's a brand new IP, and he starts from scratch all over, often ignoring the things in the previous title that WORKED, all the while forcing his "little darlings" down Fable fan's throats (fart humor is NEVER funny, Molyneaux, please, just fucking drop it already). Not to mention features he pimped like the angelic/demonic forms don't even happen until the END of the game, making them, essentially pointless.

I have a soft spot for the series, so I always hope for the best with each sequel, but that doesn't mean I'm going to blow smoke up Peter's ass and praise the series blindly. It needs a LOT of work. At the moment, it's an average action/rpg with a big name behind it.

I hope Peter can catch fire one last time but boy has his last 2 decades of work been mediocre to say the least.
