GameXplain Writes: "When Kingdom Hearts: coded was first announced back in 2007, I almost immediately wrote it off mainly because it was going to be a cell phone game. Japanese cell phone games never come to the US as evidenced by the continued absence of Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII. Being a Kingdom Hearts fan though, I made sure to look over the plot and quickly realized one thing: coded was just going to provide a bit of filler to help explain any gaps in the overall narrative. There would be very few new revelations or anything that would truly affect the ongoing story of Kingdom Hearts so I could easily skip it without any worries. Fast forward to today and coded somehow did make it to the US, remade for the DS much like Chain of Memories was for the PS2. As I booted up my DS for its second Kingdom Hearts adventure, the question became whether my original assessment three years ago was accurate or not."
