Square Enix has announced a Closed Beta for their upcoming free-to-play MMORPG, WAKFU. Sign up starts now and the Beta will begin on January 31st.
As most video game enthusiasts will attest, TV shows and other adaptations of video games are usually disappointing, if not completely terrible. One of the absolute best exceptions to this rule is Wakfu.
Wakfu has become one of a very few MMORPG’s with a true companion anime series, and in the case of Wakfu, the companion series actually runs alongside the game. Kelba Island was recently introduced in the anime, and players now have full access to the entirety of the bird infested landmass along with all of the adventures it has to offer.

I tried to sign up but it keeps saying invalid language but im typing English. anyone else having problems signing up?
its an MMO with a tactics base fighting style in pvp and pvm. This is like the sequal to the MMO called dofus made by the same people and uses alot of the same stuff. The battles in dofus and this game in pvp is like a chess match versus them crap mmo's like wows pvp and other mmo games. dofus and wackfu destroys them games.
if u want the multiplayer mmo version of ff tactics or disgea then dofus and wakfu are the way to go. I mean these are just epic games and i love the battle style. I went to rabbit island and destroyed robot mech rabbits that have kamehameha powers lol. also they got mounts and pets and such. Nothing beats these mmos.
wow is complete crap in comparison to the pvp and pvm in dofus and wakfu.
The article may be a little misleading, Square Enix is only the publisher for this game not the developer. The makers of this game are Ankama Studios, they have made other tactic mmos such as dofus, and dofus-arena. This is there third installment in trying to reinvent them selves.
Wakfus first beta accentually came out 2 years ago but they scraped it because it was well frankly, crap. They remade it into what it is now, and I was very pleased with the results.
Hopefully Square Enix does a good job at publishing the game, as they probably will since just there name draws in people.
