It's not a matter of being cheap but choosing not to waste ones money on an irrelevant magazine. With the rise of internet news (like this site here) I can read virtually everything in OXM 1-2 months before the magazine is released. Case in point is this article which has given us nearly everything we need to know in next months OXM subscription. The only thing gaming mags were good for was demos but now that most of them come out sooner or later on live market place why spend the money?
