I really like their rating system though I like it best when they critically analyze it as a whole and use all five of their ratings then chose the final one from those five.

hennessey865592d ago

i just cant justify buying it again but maybe mass effect 3 on ps3, ill see which version is running the best

Pixel_Enemy5592d ago

I didn't have a 360 when it released, now I do but I will probably get it on the PS3 for all of the included DLC. I don't know when I will play it tho since I just got LBP2 and I will soon have KZ3

Blacktric5592d ago (Edited 5592d ago )

You seriously thinking about buying the PS3 version of ME 3 when you have a perfectly capable 360? Why? Choices and their consequences are what matters most in Mass Effect series, not graphics. And Bioware has much more experience on 360 than they have on the PS3. So it'll run as good as the PS3 version if not better. You will not be able to see the consequences of smaller, yet important choices from the first game in Mass Effect 3, if you play it on the PS3 (unfortunately).

Kon5592d ago

If you already have this game on the 360, there is no reason to buy it again, seeing that is the same game, just in a different console.

Drekken5592d ago

Blacktric, you can't seriously believe a word you just said. ME3 on PS3 runs on a better engine than the 360. It has all the DLC included. You get to earn PSN trophies....

The only thing unfortunate about ME3 or 2 being on the PS3 is sorry 360 lurkers like yourself lost yet another of your very few and far in between exclusives. I think I hear your mom calling you...

despair5592d ago (Edited 5592d ago )

yup you get more out of it if you get a x360 version, you have the save file so it counts, even if you don't care about the choices(which is kinda the point) you most likely will get the bonus(money and resources) like ME2 for playing the previous game.

@Drekken

ME2 is out on PS3 not ME3 thats coming fall, read before posting

You and your types makes me feel bad for being a PS3 user. I'm talking about how the game is choice centric as an RPG and how importing your choices from ME 1 changes the Mass Effect 2 and 3 completely and you are sitting there trying to prove that PS3 version is better in every way. It is not. Not in every way. Graphical differences are minor and when it comes to textures, a person might prefer the 360 version over it. The difference is not mindblowing. And the game doesn't run better on the PS3. Look at Digital Foundry's review. Now crawl back to whatever hole you come from. Your flamebait attempts won't work on me. Oh and while you're at it, stop giving PS3 users a bad name by acting like a complete d*ck for no reason.

You can find this ME2 for the Xbox360 or PC for around $20 against $60 for the PS3 .

But what people don t tell you is that if you buy ALL the DLCs avaiabla for this game (360/PC) you will hava to spend around $30 !

In my case , I got the PC version of ME2 but without a single extra content.
So for me it was worth to buy ME2 ( PS3) to play it again for the DLCs and win trophies instead saving $20-30 if I bought all content for my PC version of ME2 .

200pts for each DLC and a $20 for ME2, it still wouldn't have been $60 spent on the PC/360 version of ME2 these days. i guess all the ps3fanboys have now is that it's on one disc. good for them as they're obviously to fat and lazy to get up off the couch for 10 seconds to change a disc (FFXIII anyone?)

One of the features that stood out to me the most about the PS3 version, that I was worried about before hand, were the controls. I wondered how the game would control with the Dual Shock 3 and whether it would be something I could get used to. And I absolutely love this game with the dual shock. More so than the Xbox 360 controller or the PC. It feels more intimate for some reason. I am a big fan of the analog sticks on the dual shock and they do a great job with this game. The controls are set perfectly for Mass Effect 2 and the Dual Shock 3 in my humble opinion.

I knew going in that I wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference in the graphics regardless of how hard I squinted, but this was the one thing that I was concerned with and it was nailed, be it a natural fit or one that Bioware made sure worked.

Dual Shock FTW

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast518d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine518d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast518d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman518d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast518d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan766d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave766d ago (Edited 766d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
