I saw it on ign and it looked boring and plain. Very last gen in my opinion.

jesstray7089d ago

Agreed. It looks very boring.

Marriot VP7089d ago

IGN said that the 360 vision camera was far more cool than the PS3's interface in their episode.

BOORRRRIINNGGGGGGG

Boring as hell actually. PSP rippoff, it seems as if they did more rushjobs then the console itself alone.

Man it's just a PSP with a larger case around it

kingboy7089d ago

it makes more sence why it`s lookin more like a psp interface becuause we know the psp would act like a remote or something else with it to control the console

TheMART7089d ago

It's getting a more and more expensive project by the minute

For what use actually? See the rear mirror in GT on the PSP? For real. The dashboard and guide menu have a originality and innovativity of 0,0. Just plain dull

PS3 for 600 dollars, PSP for 250 dollars, total 850 dollars for a PSP rippoff system. No extra controllers, no games bought yet.

NICE

The PSP will act as a remote controller :D You can control your PS3 from anywhere in the world with it's wi-fi feature. So you can pretty much play any ps3 game when you're not at home. Of course you won't see anything. You'll have a nice display of your scores on the psp but nothing else.

PS3 got a bad rap because of the price. I bought it day one (I was very lucky). A Blu-ray player was more expensive than the PS3 at the time around 800$+

badz14914d ago

And that was for a standalone player with no internet connectivity. A network enable BD players like the PS3 was, were around $1000 at the time

Mr Logic14d ago

That's true, but it gets worse. I remember seeing independent analysis from CNET or something like that. They concluded that PS3 was not only the cheapest, but also had the best video quality of any BD player.

Good to see there is an improvement despite the challenges plaguing this generation.

At the end of year 5, the ps3 received a pricecut making the 160GB model $250 and the 320G GB model $300.

I miss those days when there was not so much demand for microchips and the prices of things generally came down.

Now everything seems to be a smart device with very few companies to supply the needed chips.

Why compare to the PS3? The machine was a total abortion.

Comparing to 4 would be best being it’s the previous generation and was hugely successful.

NotoriousWhiz13d ago

There is a ps5 to ps4 comparison. The PS4 currently has a narrow lead.

you are right, that's why it outsold 360

anast12d ago

Because it's being compared to everything...This is how this game writing goes...

we should also not forget what shitstorm the ps3 got cause of the price bk then

it was still a phenomenal console

Ninver13d ago

Western media did everything in their power to destroy the ps3. They shiited on its price and made fun of the CELL (I'm surprised there wasn't more dbz memes) calling it alien hardware. Still it gave us games like Uncharted 2 and TLOU.
