With Lair the Xbots(and a handful of Nbots) at various review sites like EGM and 1Up were able to latch on to the tilt controls in Lair to get away with the score trashing.

With Heavenly Sword they have been less successful with game length as the excuse to drive the reviews down in to the 7 or 8 range.

The Xbot community is still struggling to find the review meme that they can use to drive KZ2's scores down into the 7s. At first it was trying to make up various 'graphics problems', that didn't last very long obviously. The 'bad AI' meme was going for awhile but I have to imagine Gurrilla is paying attention and is making a concerted effort to ensure every video has none of the usual AI bugs all games have before they ship.

There will be something, it's just a matter of what. EGM and 1Up will most likely lead the way with the excuses their fellow Xbots at other 'review' sites will use to trash KZ2. There is a tremendous amount of Xbot rage left over from the E3 amazing KZ2 unveiling. That rage has to go somewhere. Recently the Xbots at 1Up seem to be almost in a panic mode over their inability to get gamers to buy into their KZ2 FUD.

Can't wait, the game looks absolutely amazing.

Vehicles, aircraft, possible underwater, whatever the case, this cover system seems immersing especially that you don't know when or from where you'll get flanked.

That's an adrenaline rush if you ask me. Frustrating I can imagine, but dynamic and it should keep you on your toes.

if the world village rumour of online play is true...this will be revolutionary. Coupled with a great storyline (guaranteed by the KZ universe), amazing gameplay, stunning visuals (check), intelligent AI (theyve stated that that's one of their major focuses over the coming months) and differing environments (which they've stated they are tryin to achieve) imagine what kind of game this could be. I don't care if they delay it by a year, as long as they make it the best game they can, i'm all good.

Imagine those visuals....but in a jungle. Wow.

Look at that screen where the Helghast just got head shot. Some sick blood if you ask me.

even if the game loosk perfect, I would'nt be suprised if EGm or Ign or 1up would say: " nice game, but not all that as it was cracked up to be"

we can only hope we'll have more websites that rate fairly then biased.

ever made, it needs to be about gameplay before graphics. KZ1 was pretty, but awful, I bought a PS2 and several games fpr including KZ thinking it was good at all, and it wasn't. KZ2 doesn't need to achieve great graphics or great bodies falling to the ground, or even pretty blood, it needs to achieve great gameplay, nothing else. All the great games ever made all have one thing in common, even back to tetris, they all have great gameplay. If a game looks "average" but plays great, its a AAA title, but if the roles are reversed, the its AA at most.

nobody is trying to downplay halo 3, sony fans are just mad that just maybe one of the most anticipated titles of 2008 may get cheated by a bunch of 360 fanboys.

I`m definitely gaining faith in GG after this preview and the video from yesterday. The atmosphere in the environments and the blood in the trailer was awesome to say the least.

I guess the just a few questions remains: how will it play ?, how`s the multiplayer, is the fps stable (which it seems to be from the stuff shown so far), and is the AI good. Hope a honest preview of this will follow soon. Or a BETA ;)

And to the trash talkers out there... The original KZ was great. I played it on my PS3 again - and it plays even better than on the PS2. Still one of my favorite games. Bring it on with KZ2.

Killzone 2 does look great, just worrying about the gameplay. Also DemolitionX your one complete Sony fanboy. Have you played the game, all the single player, mutiplayer modes, online etc and its deserves a 10 out of 10?

Halo is a great game, and it defined FPS for the consoles last generation. There are games that define their respective categories like VF, Zelda, God of War, etc.

We have very little info about Killzone, but I am excited to see what comes out of the money and time that have been invested in this IP. I think Halo 3 will be a very good game, wether it is very innovative or not. The game was very good before, I just didn't have any interest in the MS brand but that doesn't make the game bad.

FPS are hot right now, and Sony is looking for one in KZ2 to define their console. What is most interesting however is regardless of KZ2 being AA or AAA or whatever you would like to call it, all the R&D that has gone into this game will surface on other titles, and that in itself is good news. MS will put on a good show, but anyone who has followed the video game industry for any amount of time would be ill advised to count Sony out, I know MS isn't.
