Gaming confessions about DC Universe Online

Stewart Loosemore (Stigweird85) over at Platform Nation confesses to the world his feeling about DC Universe Online.

"I don’t know how or why, but I have become obsessed with this game since it was released earlier this week. I have searched for an explanation or an excuse but I can’t find one. I wasn’t part of the Beta and I didn’t pay it much attention in the weeks and months leading up to it and while I am a comic fan I am now and always have been a Marvel guy."

This game IS amazing, a very good start for PS3 MMO's

Sarcasm5608d ago (Edited 5608d ago )

This was about the PC version.

But yes there's a lot of positive reviews and impressions for the PS3 version too.

It goes to show that MMOs CAN be successful on consoles if it is done right.

Pretty much, don't pull a Square Enix.

Si-Fly5608d ago

The game is awesome but I don't think we can call it a success until we see how many people are playing in a year.

Minifig5608d ago

I think a blind monkey fapping to clowns being put in blenders could make a better MMO than Square-Enix right now.

@Si-Fly
It's tricky wording, cuz by that standard the most successful PS3 game judging by my friend list is COD. Blech.

No one plays GOW, Uncharted, KZ, Resistance, Dead Space, GTA, inFamous, Heavy Rain, Bad Company etc anymore outside of the odd one guy, who's sometimes me lol. People move on to new stuff. I love DCU, but when all the AAA threequels come out later this year (Killzone, Resistance, Uncharted) I'll be all over those too.

I do hope that DCU will still be consistently populated when I come back to it. They could always merge the PC servers with the PS3 ones later if need be ala FFXI with PC and 360. The devs said they were playing on combined PC/PS3 servers right before launch. It works, but it was a Sony business decision to keep em separate log-ins.

Good to hear it's a hit. But as per usual the wet blanket have to say 'it probably won't last a month' . You people must be real downers at parties.

Yeah, those are the types of guys who never get laid and feel like theyre "never good enough"......must suck going through life with such a negative "glass half-empty" attitude.

dispite dc universe online flaws the game is very I mean very addicting.

P_Bomb5607d ago

For sure. It's constantly rewarding you with lil' pop-ups and splashes telling you how good you are for solving cases and levelling up. Who doesn't like positive reinforcement? :p

MMOs In 2021 Retrospective: Console Edition

WTMG's Thomas Medina: "As far as I’m concerned, console MMOs have always been in a weird place. PC is where the main game is most popular. MMOs were born there, work best there, and have the vast majority of titles. Mobile is then next in line, with touchscreens and portability that adds something new while functioning well. Console gaming, on the other hand, is not portable (for the most part). Plus, it uses a controller, which is not the best instrument when your control scheme requires a thousand buttons and a cursor. That being said, there is an audience, and where there’s money to be made, publishers find a way. So here we are with some of the biggest console MMO games and how I feel they handled 2021. "

Best Superhero Video Games Available Right Now

From Xfire: "A lot of video games are designed to make players feel like a superhero. However, very few actually feature superheroes or have players take on the role of a superhero. What makes this even worse is that there are even fewer superhero video games that can be considered good."
