That is amazing, that enough Nvidia Geforce GPU's alone were shipped to give one to almost 1/7th of the world.

I still have my geforce 256 video card. It is in a pc I use for old school gaming. It has a pair of 3dfx voodoo2's sitting right next to it.

Wow, it seems so long ago.

lol just kidding

BrianG5527d ago

lol, I got your joke, apparently someone didn't.

branchedout5527d ago

Hahaha. I was waiting on this. Nice joke.

Though, I think we can view it a little differently, as I'm pretty sure I can't walk into Wal-Mart and pick up a GTX 460.

Congratulations Although Im Set On AMD, They Have Cheaper Prices With Equal Or Better Performance

1Billion gpu's no wonder thay say PC is dying!! PS3 sold like 35Million!!

xXxSeTTriPxXx5527d ago

how can you compare nivida sells (1995-2011) to ps3 sells (2006-2011)?...your a moron.

with that said this is a incredible milestone.fucking incredible *no sarcasm*.thats alot of happy (and sometimes unhappy) costumers.1 BILLION sold, those are McDonald's # lol.

ct035527d ago (Edited 5526d ago )

There is a reason why this comparison is flawed (GPUs aren't just for games), but the one you have given is ridiculous.

One billion units in 16 years = 62.5 million per year
35 million units in 5 years = 7 million per year

P.S.: The irony in "your [sic] a moron" is hilarious.

Pandamobile5527d ago

For anyone who is unsure; that is a lot of GPUs.

BubbleSniper5527d ago (Edited 5527d ago )

agree but low blow. LOL!

gpu can cost more than ps3 when brand new HOWEVER GPU pricing

competitive and mean more likely to find one for cheapER

also! once put time into throw together nice rig you can just

keep back up GPU like ME! and sell ur main and contribute sale cash for the next best

thing.

Kazu0 Hirai5527d ago

That is a lot of people who wasted money on an over-priced gpu.

Kazu0 Hirai5526d ago

I would agree with you. My amazing supercomputer ps3 console powered by THE CELL is an over-priced POS. But that might have something to do with the nvidia gpu in it....

ZING!!!!!!

ct035526d ago

I'll admit it: My GPU doesn't do everything. But it runs Photoshop. And games in 1080p60.

WhiteNoise5526d ago

@Kazu0 Hirai

My launch day gtx480 was cheaper than a launch PS3...

I play all my games at 60 frames with 32CSAA at 1080p.

I think it was a god damn bargain.

ATiElite5526d ago (Edited 5526d ago )

Yeh some times nvidia cards were way overpriced but when ATi wasn't on the same level it was justified. Now forget about it AMD cards are just as good if not better.

Don't Stop, Girlypop! review - ChristCenteredGamer

CCG writes - "Overall, this is a very good game. I enjoyed most of my time playing Don’t Stop, Girlypop!, even through its imperfections. I think it’s alright for the price, and would be worth playing if you enjoy other movement shooters like ULTRAKILL or other Quake-like games."
