2010 brought a lot of new products to the gaming industry, but none have sparked more speculation then Sony and Microsoft’s forays into the motion control business. Attempting to capitalize on the Wii’s success, Sony’s Move controller, and Microsoft’s Kinect motion camera have been released, with hopes of finding a foothold against Nintendo’s sales behemoth. While they found a level of success, both devices have some work to do in 2011.

A group of surgeons made headlines after they managed to perform an endoscopic procedure on a pig located in Hong Kong by using PlayStation controllers. It involved the use of a PS5 DualSense controller as well as a PlayStation Move controller.
That's really cool. It's crazy something like that is possible with gaming controllers 1000's of miles away.

Air Conflicts: Secret Wars debuted in 2011, and later updated for modern consoles. However, it's the PlayStation 3 edition that stands out.

Joy Ride Turbo launched 10 years ago today. The first title was Xbox Kinect exclusive, yet this sequel failed to support the device at all.
now that they are out...lets get them going in the right direction.
Anything that gets fat, lazy, uninhibited gamers off their ass and gets them motivated and moving is a plus and a win. I wish all hardcore games would die out and turn into nothing but short burst casual experiences for the family and for fitness/dance. It is highly detrimental to youth's health that they put perspective before desire.
I am all for motion gaming -- Kinect, Move, wii and anything else someone wants to throw into the mix to divert consumers away from Call of Duty, Halo, GTA and so many other pointless games.
From reading the article, it looks like it is time for M$ to call it a day, pack Kinect up and go home. The reading the article I conclude that the only reasons Kinect has better than the Move is because the Sony big hitters like Socom , LBP2, and KK3 have not been released yet and M$ spent $500mil on an advertizing campain to fool the public.
Sounds like I've heard these same points raised some where before.
He also said "The future of the Kinect is a bit murky, however, with the software receiving poor critical reception, and Microsoft’s core fan base expressing concern over the controller’s supposedly limited, casual only, application."
So the future of Kinect depends on 20 or 30 critics, not the f*ng 7+mil sales in 8 weeks. K-sports has sold close to 3mil copies in those 8 week (6 EU). Dance Cental almost 2mil. I think the software is not a problem and is in fact the reason for the sales. The core gamers who buy Kinect are not buying it to play HALO or GEARS. They are buying to play those "supposedly limited, casual only, application."
In conclusion this article is a fanboy's perspective and not a fear and rational look and where each peripheral's truly stands in their battle to out do the Wii, which I might add is a casual control device.
Bingo.
What is funny about the article is that the claim that the "reviews" for both Move and Kinect are supposed to make a point.
Move gets "great" reviews but Kinect gets "murky" reviews. Your article uses a source that was on November 5th about Kinect reviews. Um well, it is over 60 days now. How is does the climate look now? Clearly reviews do not make or break what is going to happen. Not everyone hardcore or casual read reviews. Me personally I do give a sh*t about someones opinion when I already know the majority of reviews do not cover most of the games strength and weakness to even take that person opinion seriously.
