A batch of Devil May Cry 4 screens were released used to promote its presence at the Tokyo Game Show.
With the release of the Devil May Cry series on Netflix, we take a moment to look back on this almost 20-year-old series and let you know the best of the best.

6. DMC2 6/10
5. DMC4 7.5/10 (Hated Nero, repeat bosses, Dante was the saving grace but only about half the game)
4. DmC 7.5/10 (solid overall, some great ideas, meh story, dialog sucked, and the director almost killed DMC)
3. DMC1 8.5/10 (all around solid)
2. DMC5 9/10 (carried by Dante & Nero gameplay, I didn’t like V’s, Nero’s better but still not a fan)
1. DCM3 10/10 (chef’s kiss)

WHAT!? who in their right mind would put 2 near the top (not at the bottom) unironically?
I think all of them are worth playing in their own right honestly, except 2 unless you REALLY want to experience the whole series.
I honestly don't know what the author was smoking, personally I'd rank DMC3 as no.1, maybe DMC5 as second, DMC1 as third, DMC4 as fourth, and DMC as fifth and DMC2 last. such a bizarre list, mybe the author just has strange taste.

This and putting DMC 2 number 2 is all I need to ignore this ranking. DMC2 is absolute trash and it's clear this person doesn't understand exactly why.

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

2 and 4 are trash, didnt like any of them.
5 has very good gameplay variety but i hated the foes.. it is just insects the whole time. Reboot has the best foes for me
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
This right here is my order as I thought DMC 5 was amazing and obviously 3 comes after 4 was great and 1 for the nastilgic value it holds 2 was so terrible that my local GameStop gave full refunds to people who returned it.
Two Devil May Cry games have been delisted on Steam. As shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Wario64, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are no longer available to purchase.
Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.
Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.
DMC4 Special Edition is not delisted, it was just the standard version, it has nothing to do with issues of performance or anything alike. Its just that Capcom probably do not want to sell the standard version, neither the standalone DMC3 version.

I dot care about DMC4: what's DMC without Dante? its the typical japanese plot when they are out of ideas: main character look a like, with same style( Gun + sword) and he also has devil Trigger. not interested.
yea kinda funny, how they replace dante with someone who is exactly like him, kinda like a mgs2 thing with snake and raiden, i think because it has gone multi, that alot of ps3 fans kinda feel betrayed, i mean before you would see this article meet a 1000, now it barely gets anything? well it probably going to be good, but i dont think many xbox fans are going to buy this, but i could be wrong, but have fun with it

By bringing it multiplatform, they broadened their audience, but killed the hype for the console it was supposed to be exclusive for.
I'm still excited for it, I just don't want to hear about the quality of the gaming taking a hit because they had to seperate the team to make it work for two consoles, rather then attacking the problems on one first, and spending the proper time to port it later.
