GameDynamo - "MK fans have endured many changes, crossovers, and awful spinoffs, but this Mortal Kombat looks to have come full circle back to its spine-ripping origins. No run button, no foreground and background shifting, no Pro Moves, and aside from character-specific weapons (like Scorpions spear or Katana’s fan blades) no weapons. "

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

A new book detailing the artwork of the franchise has been announced

New Book: Mortal Kombat: Flawless Victory Announced.
I grew up on this stuff. Adding it to the art collection!
I do hope the next MK iteration goes back to the core of what made these characters appeal in the first place. A few of them lost their edge - I think I've had enough with some of the auntie designs 😂

Ahead of the release of the new Mortal Kombat skins in Fortnite, Epic Games has given players a first look at Scorpion, Kitana, and Raiden.
I was okay with everything until he said " tekken style controls",i hate tekken!,who cares that a bunch of noobs would've gotten owned?,well i guess i'll have to learn the tekken style button scheme. :(
Tekken and its slower paced controls work good together, but I was hoping MK would move as fast as SSFIV. Can't wait to check this one out though.
I hope the AI's better this time around. AI's really been unbalanced for EVERY MK game. Either they're really stupid or they'd beat you in 5 secs with a flawless victory... :/
A game soley based on fighting gets boring. There has to be some change-up. Too bad we haven't heard any details on a campaign style mode. I think the campaign and mini games from Armaggedon and Deception were the best addition to the MK series.
