148apps - Just when you think they have finally taken the iOS to the pinnacle of places it never belonged, developers manage to find a way to morph a game that is, by its nature, a social experience and transform it into a solitary activity.
TouchArcade: 'Tis the season for App Store freebies, fa la la la la, la la la la. Or something. Tonight's freebies are a solid adventure game, and a really weird adaptation of a board/puzzle game that you totally wouldn't think would work when you make an app out of it... But it totally does...

Everyday more traditional board games are getting the digital treatment. It was inevitable that Hasbro would eventually license out the name and game of Jenga to a developer so it could get the virtual treatment. As you would expect, there have been a few cracks at turning the game digital in the past. Jenga for the PC, however, was laughable affair. Attempting to emulate the feeling of removing blocks using your hand with a mouse simply failed to to be an entertaining approximation of the real thing.

SG - It can be difficult approaching a review of a Jenga video game, simply because there’s so little to review that people aren’t familiar with already. Do you enjoy stacking rows of blocks atop each other until they topple, with the last player to stack a successful piece the winner? Great! You’ll enjoy Jenga® on Mac.
