
NOVA 2 commands a premium price point on the App Store at $6.99, but it's a thoroughly worthwhile investment. Gameloft's sci-fi shooter may be derivative in parts, but between the solid campaign and robust, entertaining online modes, it's a portable shooter that truly justifies the entry fee and easily reclaims the iPhone shooter throne for the time being.

Gameloft has announced an upcoming sale for all of their premium titles on the Android Market. This includes N.O.V.A. 2 HD, Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus, and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, all of which usually retail for $6.99.

Gone are the days of Tetris and Brick Breaker. Apple, with iPhone, has made what mobile gaming is today. Owners of mobile devices can enjoy a whole range of games. From simple casual games to console-like epics, mobile gamers have so many choices. iPad has opened up a whole new world to us with games that look and play better than most handheld titles. And, dare I say, some console games.
So what should iPad owners get?
I'm loving Infinity blade, but I think they should have included Battleheart also.

RipTen: NOVA 2 is Halo, pure and simple. There is very little effort to disguise this fact, from the trailer of an armor clad hero leaping from orbit and landing on the world below, to the AI female giving you directions, to the myriad of aliens who look and fight a whole lot like the Covenant.
