Why!? Just because he did what thousands of other guys have done and will continue to do? Just because he's a star, shouldn't make it any different from what other people do all the time. I DON'T agree with what he did, all im saying is, why should he get publically hated for it and lose out on sponsors and things, just because he did something foolish? It's completely unfair.

Quote

"Last month, EA boss John Riccitiello said Woods needed to start winning games in order for his business relationship with EA to make sense.

"We have no plans to move away from him, but it's a business relationship on the basis of we make the best golf game and he's the best golfer," Riccitiello said.

"Both of those things need to be true in the long run for the partnership to make sense.

"He sort of stuck with us for a very long time and we made great business together," he added, "and we're willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for a period of time."

Sales of the 2011 iteration were down 68 per cent compared to the previous year's edition, but Moore hopes this year's game will fare better. "

The lack of sales is due to EA making the same damn game over and over again. Update the game engine and give us better visuals and stop screwing with the putting every freak'n year.

He should be removed because some young people look up to him as a role model. What kind of role model is he? He is lying scum. He didn't do cheat once, or twice, but many, many times! I don't care if he's a great golfer, he shouldn't be the star of any video game.

dktxx25645d ago

young people shouldn't look at people they will never meet and consider them role models. hell the only role model a kid needs is their parents. its their job as a parent.

ElementX5645d ago (Edited 5645d ago )

How many parents actually take care of their children? Look at poverty, lower test scores in inner city schools. Children see somebody of their race excel at something and they want to "be like them". They are children, they admire adults. It's what they do.

I understand the "moral" issues behind this. but let's be realistic. EA and Tiger are in a business relationship. He lends his name to a GOLF game. This is not Tiger Woods: Relationship Simulator. Tiger has dominated the game like no other in this generation. Therefore, EA felt like they NEEDED the best to identify with what they consider the best.
As for the personal shots, what he does in relationships really HIS business. He didn't kill anybody or rape anybody. Lying scum??? Really, a little harsh for a person that did what 40%-60% of people in relationships have done...that is to say cheat! Relationships are counter-intuitive to nature. There are millions of species of animals yet less than a thousand are monogamous. That's not an excuse, per se, I am just stating that it's not easy for everybody.
I believe that Tiger has pretty much paid for is indiscretions in the loss of his marriage, loss of several key endorsements, and about $300 million after the divorce, not to mention that his name has been tarnished and his business put on display, IN DETAIL, for the world.
In the end, I would teach my kids to admire parts of Tiger (drive, determination, self-motivation) but I would NEVER say...be like ANYBODY! I would say take the best of everyone and the unique aspects of YOU and that's a pretty good foundation.

He's not a 2 year old, he knew exatly what he was doing, just because he's got a talent doeasn't mean he's got the right for nothing to happen to him in regard to sponsers, mechendies etc. He's done wrong, he's not a figure that deserves the chances he's being given, he's done wrong, but he's £££££ ££££'s aren;t going anywhere, sponsers/EA still have faith in him, but why should we have to put up with people who know right from wrong, but do wrong still having it all because they're famous.

They need to back away from the NFL monopoly.....

MintBerryCrunch5645d ago

i really dont understand why no publisher has gone after EA and NFL for creating this monopoly...the civil suits that the gamers have brought against EA wont have the same effect as another multi-million dollar publisher that can actually bring change and force EA's hand

PirateThom5645d ago

Nothing gamers or another company could do, NFL, as an organisation, have the right to sell their licences to whoever they choose, same as any other sporting body. It's not like EA or NFL have stopped other American Football games from being released and unless they do, there's no monopoly.

Mikey Mike5645d ago

Actually they have. When EA bought the NFL name, they did stop other developers to stop making NFL games. Strange, a judge allowed for class action lawsuit to go on based raising the price of Madden after the football price wars before the monopolization of the NFL rights.

people act like he was touching kids, he he cheated on his wife he wasn't a drug mule. also the whole role model thing, he's flawed just like everyone else. the only difference is his dirt gets spilled on espn.
