looks awesome. i cant wait to buy this and killzone 3.

velocitygamer5536d ago

Now that is what you call a GUN ATTACHMENT. But they better take that plastic look away. Probably colour it in matte black to give it a gritty look.

REDNAVE5536d ago

They have to make it look like a toy for legal reasons. Like when they had the contest for the Helghan gun, it had a neon orange plastic tipped barrel.

SixZeroFour5535d ago

i just wonder how many of you guys were making fun of wii peripherals and the ppl buying them

rockleex5535d ago

Because this is not just a plastic attachment that adds nothing to the controls.

ufo8mycat5535d ago

Different story.

Wii is filled with casual/kids games.

This is totally different

SixZeroFour5535d ago (Edited 5535d ago )

so this adds nothing to the controls or accuracy of the wii mote?

http://www.gadgetgear.co.uk...

and things like this is not just a plastic attachment that adds nothing to the controls?

Scary695535d ago

Is this gun up for pre-order yet?

ATi_Elite5535d ago

When people compare Move to Kinect I have always gone with Move once I found out about this.

There are like 20 different guns for the PS3 that allow total control unlike Kinect where the games have to be on Rails. Not saying Kinect won't have any great games but if I can't control my direction of travel then that limits a lot of diverse game play.

BoneIdle5536d ago

Looks cool but i wonder how well it will play with the Nav controller attached to the underside like in the other pic.

mindedone5536d ago

Agreed, I think it would be a better fit built into the side of the barrel, either tilted left our right, depending on whether you want to navigate with your left or right hand. That way you never have to take your hand off the barrel.

GarandShooter5536d ago

It shouldn't be a problem for hand location, it's positioned similarly to a rail mounted foregrip on an AR15.

BISHOP-BRASIL5536d ago

Not really. A fore grip is perfectly perpendicular to the barrel so for this feel the Nav would have to go vertically under the barrel, like in the ArcBlaster.

This Killzone 3 gun will probably feel more like holding under a granade launcher attached to the barrel but also not the same, as that would have to be parallel to the barrel, not inclined.

I don't like the side grip solution too, GunCon3 was way too awkward with this kind of design.

I really prefer when they simply use the hind grip to hide the nav/nunchuck, as you can have the walk stick under the right thumb the way I'm used with a controller, while they can map everything else to extra buttons in other position, the only Move long guns I have seen so far that use this design are the Logic3 Machine Gun and CTA Digital Submachine Gun, but I would get rid of the scope and place buttons better, maybe add a proper foregrip in the Logic3 one.

The problem with all this plastic toys is, firstly, although kind of cool the plastic add on is still lame and you'll be ashamed to buy it (I know I will), secondly, as you have to press buttons all around, you won't grip it firmly and more likely than not, you'll ruin your aim if you try to do too much at the same time (in this point, separated shoot and nav units are still superior).

GarandShooter5535d ago

I realize it's angled differently, and almost posted that, but that has nothing to do with his post. What possible reason would you need to move your hand from nav to barrel and back again, as a real foregrip IS your handguard grip point? If you navigate left handed, your right finger is on the trigger and vice versa.

Regarding having the nav unit in the hand grip and using your right thumb like on a controller, and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but don't shooters use the left stick for movement and the right stick for aiming/camera control, meaning movement would be controlled by your left thumb? Unless you only play games that have fully customizable controls and remap the inputs.

I would assume the angle was chosen for comfortable use of the nav unit.

BoneIdle5535d ago

I guess you could always sellotape the Nav to the side :)

"404: Page Not Found"

WTF?

Judging from the screenshot up top, the gun looks too kiddy-ish. Too Fake. I wish it was all black with maybe some red or dark-grey tint.

But then again, this is the 21st century, and fake toy guns only looked real back in the 80's and beyond. Before all the liberals had to make everything so god damn politically correct.

mac_sparrow5535d ago

aye, replica guns now have to look like toys in the UK.

Still, I think I'll get one of these to play Killzone 3 with. The only question is, will I resist the temptation to paint the shit out of it? A nice undercoat and some drybrush highlights and scuffing would look immense.

Arup025536d ago

This is the only way i imagine myself playing shooters with the move. I can't access the site for some reason, can someone tell me the price of this gun?

TheMART5536d ago

Link isn't right, but to those above that can't look a bit further by just visiting the sites main URL and clicking the top story themselves... FAIL

There's too many games to choose from

No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

FinalFantasyFanatic460d ago

30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.

Storm23460d ago

Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

lockedongamer1460d ago (Edited 460d ago )

I only picked first-party titles. Otherwise, I agree!

EDIT: Except for Days Gone, I don't get the love for it but you do you!

Chocoburger451d ago

I didn't like Days Gone either, it doesn't deserve to be on any best of list.

Up there with the top tier in the industry. Love Guerrilla Games - Horizon Burning Shores is simply STUNNING.

1Victor1026d ago

Can’t wait for their next franchise

SullysCigar1026d ago

Same. They nailed it with Horizon. The trouble is I also want a new Killzone! Can't I just have it all?!

jznrpg1026d ago

I’m with you I want Horizon 3 , Killzone and new IPs

badz1491026d ago

I have yet to play Burning Shores as I just started Forbidden West (bought at launch, just unwrapped last weekend LOL) and playing on PS5.

man...I still can't believe the graphics especially now I'm playing it on my LG OLED. that graphics and with stable performance backing it up, GG really is the master of their craft!

Vengeance11381026d ago

32.7M sales in the Horizon franchise! With 8.4M coming from Forbidden West alone! Truly a hugely successful game and franchise as a whole. Looking forward to Horizon III

Shane Kim1026d ago

That's kind of a huge drop though. It's only been two games.

VersusDMC1026d ago

One year after realease HZD sold 7.6 million.

https://www.noobfeed.com/ne...

So not a drop off.

Unless you're saying a HFW should have sold as much now as HZD sold in 5 years?

Vengeance11381026d ago

It's been 3 games, this includes Call of the Mountain. Also no, its a great improvement over HZD.

solideagle1026d ago

lol you are comparing:

HZD: 28 February 2017 - May 2023 (6 years+)

HFW: 18 February 2022 - May 2023 (1 year+)

We will see if it surpass original number.

Phoenix761026d ago

@shane, 2 full main games, 2 DLC add ons, 1 VR spin off game, oh and a an official LEGO set.
Not too bad for an ip that's only been on market for 6 years

REDGUM1026d ago

Wow, very impressive. I didn't know the numbers were so high for Forbidden West. Still playing through it myself

thesoftware7301026d ago (Edited 1026d ago )

Yooo, when I first saw that Killzone 1 footage at E3, my friends my brothers and I were like, Holy shit! When it came out, it didn't look exactly like it, but we sunk so many hours into 1 & 2.

I even liked Killzone: SF, it was a spectacle to look at, and even today it looks good. I hope they make a new one. Can you imagine how that will look, and they can get some modern FPS pointers from Bungie.

blacktiger1026d ago

thank you fps lover, I'm with you

talocaca1026d ago

Such a wonderful studio. They deserve all their success.

The Decima Engine is absolute 🔥 I'm just mad they have abandoned Killzone.

OzzY-waZZy1026d ago (Edited 1026d ago )

Kinda wish they move on from Horizon tbh.

lukasmain1026d ago

They are probably working on mutiple projects. One of them is Horizon 3, but another is a multiplaer game and probably somehting else.

Imalwaysright1026d ago

There were rumours that they were working on a Socom reboot.

Killzone 3 is playable with mouse & keyboard on PC via RPCS3 & KAMI

Still looks secure 2 gens later... one of my favorite ps3 moments. With 3D and move the game is on another level

MadLad1777d ago

PC almost always ends up the best place to play games, even if it takes a while.

What would you rather play decades down the line? A game at a fixed resolution and frame, considering you have a working disc, and the hardware?
Or run it on an emulator that can update the experience all around, and let you use whatever control input you prefer?

If you insist on the former, it's really only for the sake of nostalgia.

Applejack1777d ago

I disagree. The main draw for consoles has always be the simplicity of just putting the disc in / downloading it and playing without worrying about anything else. The average person just wouldn’t want to deal with emulation even though it’s very important for preservation.

Terry_B1777d ago

Even emulators are super simple to use.

jukins1777d ago

Youre getting flak because people on here thibk of themselves as pc wizards. But honestly most poeple try and go get emulators and romz they end up with malware.. yes theyre "easy" if you know the basics but alot of people dont. That said the fact that its taken nearly 20 years to get a sustantially better experience for ps3 games than on its native system shows the complexity of getting bc to work. Sony, if they have any intention, should just invest in a vastly better psnow experience.

1777d ago
Vegamyster1777d ago

jukins

Most people who emulate don't get malware, you'd have to be going to some weird sites for that to happen, heck years ago people were getting sketchier ad's resulting in malware warning on this site if you didn't have a ad-blocker lol.

SinkingSage1777d ago

Can't get malware if you legally dump your own games, which you should.

Rachel_Alucard1777d ago (Edited 1777d ago )

That's fine if that's the main draw, but it doesn't make it a better experience, just a preference. Having the freedom to do the things you can do on PC is what the appeal of PC is. Buying a game on PC means you never have to worry about the console makers just deciding the next hardware shouldn't support the generation anymore, which means everything you bought is stuck on that hardware instead of moving up with everything else. Nintendo uses this tactic to keep reselling the same games over and over at inflated prices. Sony cut all previous gens off the PS4 and sold it back to people in a poor attempt with PSnow. While the PS5 supports PS4 games, that may not be the case in the next gen after this. No to mention shutting off all the previous stores and updates completely. Even MS stopped making new BC titles at some point, so now there's a big list with 17 pages of titles that are not playable on Xbone and are just trapped on older gen. That's not a problem on PC, the reverse happens where you only have to worry if your hardware can play the newest releases at ultra with no issue.

AzubuFrost1777d ago

Shhh don't say that aloud! You're going to trigger a lot of console infidels here.

Shane Kim1777d ago

I rather play it when it's available then wait 10 years.

MadLad1776d ago

Did you purposely miss the entire point of my post?

Inverno1777d ago

Well that's the beauty of still owning a retro console tho. Those who usually complain about emulation are just being blindly loyal to a company. Emulation is great for many reason, but if I still owned the console then I disagree nothing beats plugging it back in and going down a nostalgia trip

The RPCS3 devs are doing great work. And Kami works nicely with it too it seems.
Very neat.

Magatsuhi1777d ago

Been playing mgo on pc with mouse. It's not perfect but I can make it work.

Binarycode1777d ago

2 is the better game.

A Remake would be good. 60fps 2-4k

Omar3li1777d ago

60fps is peasant for FPS games now
