"A community — particularly online — can be shaped by a handful of good examples. Right now, I fear too much of it is being shaped by bad ones."

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
I agree gamers can n should evolve, as the generations of games n consoles gone by so have the gamers just a shame that a handfull of gamers end up really ruining it for the rest, fanboys really should stop being fanboys, its gone to a point where its more about bashing the other console than it is praising your own EG Console A is better because X game on console B was bad - I miss the days where you could stumble apon a glitch n tell your mates how cool or weird it was now all you get is oh that means said console is bad, really thats what some of us have become a point scoring compition
a fun online match on any game can b ruined by insults over the mic or being messaged something riduclous, sure a little trash talk between to rivals is to b expected and can raise the stakes and can make it enjoyable but some of these gamers really hold grudges or are to sore losers (or winners) to say 'Good game' after the end, its just a game while winning is often the aim can still enjoy it without winning and bashing other ppl for it
the worst bit is this only applys to a handful of gamers, yet there the ones who everybody notices, puts a bad name for the rest. as if gamers arent sterotyped enough already, really hope gamers can go back to just having fun with games, thats what there for
'I think we all need to hold each other to a higher standard'
I agree with the article mostly, but this statement is flawed. I routinely see in daily life people holding others to a higher standard than the standard to which they hold themselves. Someone does something, and these folk nearly call for his crucifixion, yet when they themselves do the exact same thing, they call for understanding and forgiveness, and expect everyone to 'cut them some slack'.
Until the individual holds himself or herself to the highest possible standard and freely forgives the shortcomings of others, neither the world or the world of gaming is going to change.
