Created by three industry veterans who have worked on Lord of the Rings Online, Chu’s Dynasty is just the beginning of a world the developers want to immerse gamers in. Tribetoy's Camille Chu fills us in on the reasons for dedicating two years to their indie project, how it began and why all the work has paid off.

Though it’s relatively easy to make games and sell them via Xbox Live Indie Games and other venues, four developers reveal how difficult it is to actually earn a solid living off of them.

IndieGames.com: "How's this for a complete turn-around - just two months ago, Microsoft had dumped the Xbox Live Indie Games in between Avatars and The Game Room, and now the Indie Games Winter Uprising has been granted its own spotlight on the Dashboard.
That's right, Microsoft has actually done something nice for its indies! A special Indie Games Winter Uprising panel has appeared on the Xbox Dashboard, leading to a list of all the available Uprising games. Not all the Uprising games have been released yet, but we're told that each will be added as released."
Ironic that the actual Indie Developers had to advertise the service whilst MS wanted to hide it for a few weeks.
I like the fact that MS allows you play these indie games as a trail before you purchase the game. Which is great because it would suck to spend money and the game sucks. Your just out of luck if the game isn't good.

CFD!'s Rob Rich samples this visually striking entry into the Indie Games Winter Uprising:
"Chu’s Dynasty marks the seventh release for the Indie Games Winter Uprising. We’re more-or-less the halfway point now, and so far the games have yet to disappoint. And here we have a multiplayer fighting game that claims to be a mash-up of Super Smash Bros. and Street Fighter with time distorting special moves. That’s just got to be awesome, right? Not to mention it looks all colorful and pretty, what with the vibrant hues and slick designs. Oh yeah, this is totally another kick-ass Uprising release.
"…right?"
It looks attractive for it's value - for sure, not compared to iPhone games but yeah. I've heard it's not all that fun though.
