I still want to hear more about the Thrustmaster T500 wheel. But as far as the patch goes thank you Kaz and PD for realizing nowadays a game is never finished and more can always be added. I love the game but these little fix/patches are welcomed with open arms.

I needed more paint too i wish there was a paint shop added so u could pick and choose your colors but im fine unlocking paint if just going online u get a random paint too.

None of the lists I've seen mention them, but they only showed up after the patch. If you're good they can make you a lot of money.

Also a GT academy event was added the day after the patch.

That one is half true u do get 5 museum cards YOU do not get 5 paints i just receieved only 5 museum cards so that article is not accurate with its facts.

I like the driving in the game. The physics feel great. But as a sim game, there are missing features that should be done WAY before superficial things like fixing light clusters or spelling thrustmaster correct. I'll just repeat what i've been saying since before these patches. This is a sim game. Not having these features are UNACCEPTABLE. I mean, tyre pressure. A simple thing like tyre pressure that can fine tune handling as well as help with tyre wear!! Name ONE sim that does not have this simple adjustment in the game, ONE! Its either they fix these issues or refrain from calling this game a hardcore sim.

1. Saving setups. I still have to use a notepad to write down all my setups for all my cars on all the circuits then enter them manually each time i take a car to a circuit. WHY CANT I JUST SAVE MY SETUPS AND LOAD THEM? Do they really expect the same setup to work for laguna and the ring?? the transmission has to change cause the rng has a much higher top speed. the suspension has to change cause the ring is much more bumpy. And i have to change these settings from track to track. I'm sick and tired of having to enter everything and write everything down. Why is there no save and load button like EVERY OTHER RACING GAME???!!!

2. No tyre pressure adjustment. It doesn't get more basic than that. This is such a crucial parameter for car performance and its not in the game.

3. No Caster adjustment? I can't even think of a reason they would leave this out. Every racing game since maybe 1996 has had caster settings in it. this is a crucial part of suspension tuning, its just stupid not to have it.

4. No asymmetrical tuning!!! This CRIPPLES NASCAR. Any idiot in the street will know you need postive camber on the left and negative camber on the right to get the maximum contact patch, its what they do in REAL LIFE, so why isn't it in the REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR

5. No adjustment of individual gear ratios. Why can't i use a longer 4th gear at laguna like i am accustomed to?

6. No race liveries. have a look at real life spec miata racing. have a look at real life Ferrari challenge racing. Do you see any plain red miatas or plain blue ferraris? NO. They all have driver names, numbers, sponsors, etc. If we run a spec miata series in GT5 it will look NOTHING like real life. And it should, after all, this game is about simulating real life for crying out loud.

Can anyone comment on how good the shadows have been improved and the pixelation. This is a seriously awesome update, this tops Naught Dog and Guerrilla Games for post-care. Sorry guys your games are good but PD takes the cake and rubs it into your faces when it comes to patching.

I really like what there doing not many do this. But after 5 years it should'nt need 4 patches in the first month. Im only saying but if it improves the game what can i complain about as alot of developers wont do this for there games.

Anyway its a very good update nice fixes by PD.

Well some programming can get hectic, so its hard for them to realize some stuff untill the beta phases are over.

I read somewhere that they are going to convert some of the standard cars to premiums. Does anyone know if there is a rewind feature to replays? I'm really digging the fact that you can turn the hud off, in cockpit view its really awesome, I'm glad they are supporting this game.

With all these fixed and improvements.. I give this game a 11/10.. :)

If I could choose something to patch I'd go for being able to change the engine sound for your view. Best sound is the 3rd person view at the exhaust but I use the front bumper view. Would love To be able to get the pipe engine sound with the other view's

Reviewers should re-review or edit there reviews after a game patches something. Like the game Backbreaker, a lot of people didn't like it but they had a huge patch and it turned out to make the game almost 10x better.

My personal favorites in this update:

- Ability to copy save files
- Garage sorting is now saved
- Online Dealership stocked with hard to find cars

while its a nice patch, i still would prefer developers didnt release shoddy unfinished games.

you dont congratulate someone for releasing a half finished product and then gradually fixing it! you congratulate someone for releasing a finished product and then supporting it. you criticise someone for releasing a half finished product and then gradually fixing it, as if they did their job properly in the first place they wouldnt have released a half finished product.

seriously, id hate to see some of you guys out in the workplace. if i released software that was half-finished, didnt do half the things i said it would and looked completely different to all the designs i had shown them, and told my clients 'oh its an evolving product, i might fix this and this over time' i would be fired on the spot, and id be out of business in no time at all. i wouldnt accept it from someone that worked for me, and im surely not going to congratulate PD for doing it and charging me for it.

I love it, the handling on the G25 wheel is just amazing, and I mean nothing comes close, I recently bought the WRC game and now wish I hadn't... GT5 has ruined every other racing game for being so f*cking awesome.

Just wish I could find the cars I need a bit easier....

Although this mentality of releasing games knowing they can be patched this gen has been annoying it also has it's advantages.

It's nice to know a game I paid £35 for a month ago has given me hours and hours of playtime and it's looking like over time it will improve and get more content for no extra cost.

The thing the fanboys don't get about GT is the reason it isn't released every other year is because the people that play it know theres enough content to last them a few years till the next game.

Also so glad they added in the time/drift trails and leaderboards that will be changed every so often (although i'm miles on a decent place on the ladder :()

Until they make the online part of the game slightly interesting and update the all the STANDARD crap to PREMIUM in the game. GT5 will remain a huge disappointment for me. Is a little consistency too much to ask for???

I am glad PD are fixing all the problems with GT5 and it is just showing us all that Sony had them release it early. But I am also glad PD have come out and said they are going to keep improving the game rather than start on GT6.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
