Can't wait. This game is looking really good.

Workshyskiver5625d ago

Im starting to wonder if to get this but I think i would rather have my Mass effect 3 on my xbox for achievements... maybe both?

Panzerkanzler5625d ago

If you've played the first game on your x-box then I think you should keep it there so you get all the achievements on the same platform. I used to own a 360 but bought a ps3 instead a few years ago. This game was the only game I missed sorely when switching platform but now it's happy days ;)

DigitalRaptor5625d ago

It's less about achievements and more about the story and decisions you've made starting in Mass Effect.

That's the one thing I kinda wish the PS3 version had. Making 6 major decisions in the PS3 version is not the same as playing the whole of the first game and making more choices.

But hey, at least I will get to play the PC version of Mass Effect before buying the PS3 version of ME2.

Workshyskiver5625d ago

Yeah But if the 3rd performs better on the ps3 then that might swinging it disk swapping isn't an issue just framerates etc, but I much prefer achievements over trophies, plus it means when the trilogy is finished I will get to play right from the beginning on one save file. though I think I will need several playthroughs anyway!

All PS3 owners HAVE to get this game.

I wish I could erase my memory and play it for the first time again.

Dnied5625d ago

I'll be grabbing it

I no longer regret not playing this game haha I've already started going through ME1 again on my box while i wait

The Meerkat5625d ago

I wonder which team members the PS3 version will start you with.

Bodster5625d ago

I have it on my PC and Xbox but ill be getting it for PS3 too :)

PirateThom5625d ago

I'll be picking it up, never got the DLC on 360 and I want to keep my save file "pure" on 360 by sticking to the choices made there across the two games and not being tempted to changing anything on another playthrough (one is especially heart breaking... :(), so this will, to some degree, let me live out the alternatives, then two copies of ME3.

Did I mention I love Mass Effect?

Ether5625d ago

Looks good, definitely picking this up in Jan.

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast519d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine519d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast519d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman519d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast519d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave767d ago (Edited 767d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
