I think move is going to be real good with this game since I now know that you can change your deadzone to zero and look speed really high.

talltony5630d ago (Edited 5630d ago )

Fps's shouldnt be played with move imo. I would use move with 3rd person shooters though.

theonlylolking5630d ago

Not if you set it correctly.

talltony5630d ago

what annoys me about move on killzone 3 is that the yellow cursor sticks out too much. I have a feeling that people will return to the controller after trying it with move. I have move and will try it on kz3 but i doubt it will be my go to controller for this game.

-Alpha5630d ago (Edited 5630d ago )

The cursor looks a little silly, maybe they could change the design. Thank god you can change the deadzone because I hate how the gun doesn't stay in the center. It makes turning really annoying and I don't find it ideal. I'm going to try getting used to the "move your gun all around the screen and push it to the borders to finally turn" but I find that a fixated gun in the center with the ability to turn around instantly is much better

I want a Move for EchoChrome ii coming out within the week. I'm considering it strongly now. A little PO'd that EchoChrome 2 is a Move exclusive because I would have been satisfied using the SIXAXIS/DS3 for that game but now I need to down all this money on a peripheral to play a game I like

OSU_Gamer5630d ago

Honest question, does this seem to give u a disadvantage for multiplayer? Not like its hard to switch over to Ds3, but this just seems like something u could only really use for campaign.

PinkFunk5630d ago

Hm I don't know. It took me a few hours to get used to Move on MAG. But I started enjoying the way it's set up. Having the gun move around on the screen and having that deadzone seemed to work well. I originally thought it would be like a mouse (and would like to try it that way), but I definitely got used to using the deadzone and enjoyed it.

I wonder, i'm sure the developers must have tested both ways and come out thinking deadzone was more practical. Either way, customization is KEY and Im glad they're making sure that they provide all customization options.

Btw, Move works well with FPS. Better than DS3 IMO. Especially if you're used to being a PC gamer.

zootang5630d ago

This is what I wanted when I bought a Wii. Really looking forward to Killzone 3 with Move.

Spitfire_Riggz5630d ago (Edited 5630d ago )

I dont think the move can be used competitively thats why its mostly for fun and immersing yourself into a game.

If I had the move I would use it for the campaign and my D3 for multiplayer.

I would also try to get some private matches between friends as Move-only matches. That would be fun.

Wow this looks great! It's making every other shooter coming out in '11 look redundant in every aspect. Gonna call it now, shooter of the year 2011 :)

HarryMonogenis5630d ago

Excuse me?

"It's making every other shooter coming out in '11 look redundant"

Could you lend me your Time Machine, please?

jammydude5630d ago

From what we've seen of them so far :L Was it really that hard to understand?

LunaticBrandon5630d ago

No. Its a contest between Brink and Crysis 2. Killzone 3 looks good but its nothing new in realm of shooters. A slow tactical CoD with a nice paint job as far as consoles go and extra brown and bloom.

starcrafter5630d ago

@lunaticbrandon
Nice opinion you've got there :) Crysis and Brink are no 'newer' than KZ3. Killzone's signature slow, methodical and more realistic gameplay gives it a fresh take on the COD formula. Add in the gigantic bosses (bigger than those shown in either brink or Crysis 2) and vertical gameplay due to jetpacks and you've got a game with more set pieces than what we''ve been shown in Brink and Crysis combined. Killzone 3 is not just "extra brown and bloom" either :L. Graphically and technically it is superior to Crysis 2 ( on consoles) and brink, that and the game looks goddamn fantastic and employs a full spectrum of colours. It's hardly all brown when half the game is played in the snow :L

As long as you can have a deadzone for scoped and unscoped views, you should be good to go for configuring Move however you want to best suit your playstyle.

cossie1235631d ago

looks ok but there is noticable lag unfortunatley

BrianG5630d ago

Hate to break it to you, but its about the same as what you would get with your regular controller. You'd know if you played the game, I played the Beta, so I know.

Dellis5630d ago

This is not a game you can use with Move, it is tacked on

you want true FPS MOVE go play MAG, that game delivers

a better experience because the game is designed for it

much like SOCOM 4 will be.

Wh15ky5630d ago

How was MAG designed for Move?

I love playing MAG with Move but I don't understand your statement.

TooTall195630d ago

It's dellis. His comments are not supposed to make sense.

karl5630d ago

@TooTall19

that makes sense

Drekken5630d ago

Hmm maybe his thinking is backwards because of how his head is inverted.

Move released 8 months AFTER Mag = FPS made for move.

Move released 5 months BEFORE KZ3 = Tacked on afterthought.

Hmmm... Is is opposite day and no one told me?

clevernickname5630d ago

You know, I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't convinced that Move could work with KZ3, but this video has changed my mind.

Yes, there appears to be some lag. Hopefully that will be addressed before the game goes gold, but on the whole I think Move support will actually add something to the game for those that want it.

The Meerkat5630d ago

I feel the opposite.

I saw the gun and thought "yeah, that could work"

But after watching that video I thought the interaction looked very cumbersome.

nycredude5630d ago (Edited 5630d ago )

you don't feel the lag when playing.

@the Meerkat
I don't think it looks any more cumbersome than carrying 70 lbs of equipment, wearing boots and a 10 lbs rifle running around cover to cover trying not to get killed in real battle.

In topic: I'm picking up that sharp shooter for my fps fix. I will probably mostly play with a dualshock 3 but for those days when I just want to blaze up, and go to war in 3d and feel there I will use the sharpshooter.

justinb15630d ago

Guys, you do realise that the 22ms lag cannot be felt or seen IRL right? If it were a perfect TV with an actual measurable response rate <10ms then it would be fine and would look like there wasn't any lag. However this is obviously not the case and the on average ~180ms response rate of HDTVs is increasing component lag significantly.

In short - it is more the TV's fault than the Move controller. If you want it to have no lag then play on a low response time TV or monitor

There's too many games to choose from

No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

FinalFantasyFanatic538d ago

30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.

Storm23538d ago

Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

lockedongamer1538d ago (Edited 538d ago )

I only picked first-party titles. Otherwise, I agree!

EDIT: Except for Days Gone, I don't get the love for it but you do you!

Chocoburger529d ago

I didn't like Days Gone either, it doesn't deserve to be on any best of list.

PlayStation Move Controller Used to Perform Surgery on a Pig That Was 5,780 Miles Away

A group of surgeons made headlines after they managed to perform an endoscopic procedure on a pig located in Hong Kong by using PlayStation controllers. It involved the use of a PS5 DualSense controller as well as a PlayStation Move controller.

jznrpg580d ago

There is at least a few good jokes that could come from that title

Cacabunga579d ago

Yet another powerful device Sony gave up supporting. KZ3 move was one of the best motion controller implementation ever

just_looken579d ago

Right the ps move was awesome i have the gun thing from killzone still.

Relientk77580d ago

That's really cool. It's crazy something like that is possible with gaming controllers 1000's of miles away.

Lexreborn2579d ago

Guess that submarine should’ve used move controllers instead of logitech

Up there with the top tier in the industry. Love Guerrilla Games - Horizon Burning Shores is simply STUNNING.

1Victor1104d ago

Can’t wait for their next franchise

SullysCigar1104d ago

Same. They nailed it with Horizon. The trouble is I also want a new Killzone! Can't I just have it all?!

jznrpg1104d ago

I’m with you I want Horizon 3 , Killzone and new IPs

badz1491104d ago

I have yet to play Burning Shores as I just started Forbidden West (bought at launch, just unwrapped last weekend LOL) and playing on PS5.

man...I still can't believe the graphics especially now I'm playing it on my LG OLED. that graphics and with stable performance backing it up, GG really is the master of their craft!

Vengeance11381104d ago

32.7M sales in the Horizon franchise! With 8.4M coming from Forbidden West alone! Truly a hugely successful game and franchise as a whole. Looking forward to Horizon III

Shane Kim1104d ago

That's kind of a huge drop though. It's only been two games.

VersusDMC1104d ago

One year after realease HZD sold 7.6 million.

https://www.noobfeed.com/ne...

So not a drop off.

Unless you're saying a HFW should have sold as much now as HZD sold in 5 years?

Vengeance11381104d ago

It's been 3 games, this includes Call of the Mountain. Also no, its a great improvement over HZD.

solideagle1104d ago

lol you are comparing:

HZD: 28 February 2017 - May 2023 (6 years+)

HFW: 18 February 2022 - May 2023 (1 year+)

We will see if it surpass original number.

Phoenix761104d ago

@shane, 2 full main games, 2 DLC add ons, 1 VR spin off game, oh and a an official LEGO set.
Not too bad for an ip that's only been on market for 6 years

REDGUM1104d ago

Wow, very impressive. I didn't know the numbers were so high for Forbidden West. Still playing through it myself

thesoftware7301104d ago (Edited 1104d ago )

Yooo, when I first saw that Killzone 1 footage at E3, my friends my brothers and I were like, Holy shit! When it came out, it didn't look exactly like it, but we sunk so many hours into 1 & 2.

I even liked Killzone: SF, it was a spectacle to look at, and even today it looks good. I hope they make a new one. Can you imagine how that will look, and they can get some modern FPS pointers from Bungie.

blacktiger1104d ago

thank you fps lover, I'm with you

talocaca1104d ago

Such a wonderful studio. They deserve all their success.

The Decima Engine is absolute 🔥 I'm just mad they have abandoned Killzone.

OzzY-waZZy1104d ago (Edited 1104d ago )

Kinda wish they move on from Horizon tbh.

lukasmain1104d ago

They are probably working on mutiple projects. One of them is Horizon 3, but another is a multiplaer game and probably somehting else.

Imalwaysright1104d ago

There were rumours that they were working on a Socom reboot.
