Bundles really do not effect anything really. Why would people buy new consoles when they can just buy add-ons? The people that are buying the Kinect bundle are people upgrading systems or buying one for the first time. The same can be said the PS3 move bundle, but most PS3 people don't need to really upgrade systems since all they have to do is replace a harddrive. Until Sony actually gives complete numbers there is no way of telling how many units of each was sold. The same can be said with Microsoft. The best way to figure out how many of each have been sold is select the best selling Kinect or Move title and work from there.

they always look at hardware to figure out the numbers sold, I think a good way is the software sold for the device, to me the kinect has had huge software sales compared to the move games..

How many people are getting rid of their 360 fats for the new slims bundled with kinect? The numbers are not clear for either side. And it shouldnt matter to gamers really. What counts is the constant release of great games on the consoles. The 360 has a ton of exclusive kinect games comming out next year while the PS3 has a ton of eclusive core games comming 2011. Both will have a good year in 2011 with the 360 catering to kinect users while the PS3 to core gamers.

If people only wanted the shiny new console, they wouldn't buy the bundle with kinect. If they buy the bundle with kinect, it clearly shows interest in the kinect and not just the console.

Yawn.Long term Move users will have a better play experience because it's a better game controller.Kinect users may have more choice but like the Wii a lot will be duff and unlike Wii,no Ninty gems.

this whole move vs kinect comparison makes no sense and is getting old.

SONY: move is a controller similar to wii mote. sony never thought it would revolutionize gaming or be the 2nd coming of christ. they just wanted to get into motion controls with a more precise experience than the wii, and to offer their customers more entertainment experiences. they also have not let up with the games line up for 2011, announcing games at every major event along with talking about their move control. trying to lure in some of the millions bored with wii and looking to upgrade to a HD system and all that would include.

MS: they have placed all their eggs in the kinect basket to attempt to lure the wii audience to their console. cannot blame them for that since the wii has created a HUGE new casual demographic. they place the new add-on front and center before anything else. they themselves state that it is a "new console" and will "extend the 360 for 5 years" and is "the big focus". however in taking this approach they have arguably shifted focus away from what got them where they are now. the hardcore gamers. less and less games on the horizon that would appeal to their core fanbase.

so going by what the 2 companies themselves have stated about their products, this is like comparing a lightgun controller to a new console. both state they are on target to meet their sales estimates so neither move or kinect is a failure at this point. if you win by reaching your goal, both companies will do that.

The only thing the move is good for is sticking that light bulb up your own ass and it glows.

Anyone that truly believes the Kinect is outselling Move at a 5/1 margin is rather naive.

That definitely would have been the absolute worst time for stick drift to happen...

I always wanted a true to life surgery simulator for PSVR1. I always knew those Move controllers were precise AF under the proper conditions.

Move was a very accurate device under good conditions. Dr Marks even wanted to open it up for hobbyists and developers to extract more data to do more things. I even seen him use it for space, astronaut like simulations.

Sony always had the tech. They just needed the software to go with it. PS Move limit was not having an analog stick. Which it seems the PS5 controller made up for that.

I would like to see them use PS VR 2 for surgery or something with that eye tracking built in.

At least it wasn’t used for a mini-sub
