What do you expect? Frankly i wouldve been surprised if the ps3 version just looked the same. With a year longer development cycle it better look better than the 360 version (which of course it does).

The PS3 version looks crispier.But I have to ask, what crappy TV are they running it on though. I have a four year old TV and my 360 version looks way better than what IGN showed.

I won't be buying it for my PS3 though, see little point in buying two copies of the same game a few more shinnies isn't gonna tempt me.

Good that the PS3 fanbase can finally play the game, it's good, go buy it.

it's a multiplat, none of them "use the power of the cell" anyway. For that stuff please look at GoW 3 and Uncharted - games that make everything else look like crap (and soon infamous 2 will do this to open world games).

IMO ME2 should have been game of the year. PS3 owners going to enjoy this game a lot.

Ahhh, Jacob, my least favorite member of the crew. I had him do a suicide mission and made sure he never lived to see the ending.

xbox version looks version look horrible. so blurry i think it lost its glasses.

The lighting is better in PS3. Notice in 00:04 the missing shadow of Jacob's gun on the railing. Just like missing shadows in FF13 in the xbox version it seems.

Edit: I took another look, apparently in the PS3 version they added another lightsource which is absent from the xbox version. That lightsource is why Jacob's face looks more shiny and causing shadows on the railing.

The PS3 version looks closer to the PC version than the 360 does. Hopefully they improved the loading times on the PS3. I hated that on the 360 even when I had both discs installed on the hard drive, then when I jumped to the PC version everything was almost instant.

unless your comparing a PS3 or 360 game to the intense graphics of Killzone 2 Uncharted 2 or God of War 3 then it really doesn't matter what the game looks like because we all know what the PS3 is capable of and a crappy port just reflects the lack of quality of the developer and not the hardware.

I'm laughing at all of you because the video was in sub-HD and yet you are all comparing visuals. Not to mention the game doesn't come out for another couple months.

So lets wait for it to release, and get Lens of Truth to do a comparison. THAT will be a time where people can start talking like they know what they're talking about.

And when it does come down to it with just that video, yes, the PS3 version does look better. Nobody asked how much better.

then when you get ps3 games like gow iii, heavy rain, uc3 they totally crush anything that x360 or multiplats can do, the truth is ps3 is more powerful and has a different architecture!!

In this video X0-version looks strangely blurred, so ps3 is a lot better here. I hope it will look better on Ps3 than X0 eventually, will make finishing it again more pleasant, alongside bonus material :)

Actually looks much closer to the way it did on my PC.

I own both consoles and have this already on my 360. Minor improvements such as this will not make me want to purchase this for my PS3. At least Ps3 only owners will get to play the greatness that is Mass Effect, still the 360 is the only was to truly play through the entire universe of Mass Effect. AND NO I AM NOT COUNTING PC!

The PS3 herd are buying this as I read several times on here when ME2 came out a year ago that they would play the superior version an their PC's. Funny eh. On topic it's had a year to tweak, so if it wasn't slightly better I'd be pissed, however the real test will be the ME3 comparison when it's released multi format.

This is a poor comparison. The video of the XBOX 360 version appears soft due to the fact that the footage is interlaced (pause the video and you will see the frames are over-lapping). The footage of the PS3 version has been captured in a progressive format and has also been adjusted properly (brighter, sharper and better contrast). If they are going to compare the game on two competing systems they should do it on equal ground.

I have no doubt that the game will be optimized for the PS3 but this video comparison should not be the deteriminating factor.

technically though, even though the PS3 looks better in some places, Bioware had more time to work on the PS3 version, so no doubt it's going to look better on the PS3. Heck, ME2 uses the ME3 engine, which gives a big leap to the PS3 fanboys, which is kind of unfair on 360 players.

To be honest I'm having a slightly hard time discerning between both versions. While I feel that the 360 version is a little darker, I can't get a good sense of the textures in it. Also, the PS3 version looks like it might have more contrast. Can someone help explain what I should be looking for exactly, as I plan to purchase this game, but I want to know what platform to get it on.

anyway the game looks great on both systems, I will be buying it on Playstation but I am actually going to enjoy this game instead of looking for details to burn the Xbox version. I don't have an Xbox but I play Mass Effect 2 on my cousins all the time and I love it. I'm going to love the PS3 version the same...

The PS3's beefed up processor + Optimization + ME3 engine = Slightly better graphics than the 360 xD.

turn down the contrast for the ps3 vid and be amazed at the result..

PS3 version is better because it is using the ME3 Engine

the devs already said the the PS3 version will have much more of a sharper image also the black backdrop will have a much richer "black" to it
