The concept is correct but it's poorly done and obviously pretty fanboyish (coming from a pc gamer primarily here).

I know the PC is stronger than the 360 and the PS3 combined. I choose not to put all my focus on PC Gaming because (A) I don't have the funds. (B) What consoles lack in power, they make up for in parity. Meaning any game that came/comes out in the past/the present/the future, I can just pop into my 360 or PS3 and not have to worry about needing a better GFX card to play it.

Just making a PC comparison over consoles is a BIG fail!

You buy consoles so that you don't have to keep upgrading the Graphics card every 3-6 months.

For a PC to be an awesome gaming rig, you have to pay a significantly for it, so what's the point of this article....?

PC is 10x better look at black ops on PC it looks stupid good and Far cry,Crysis the PC has next gen graphics compared to current consoles easy the PC has some games that look real end of.

I dont need to be jealous when PS3 games look as good and better.

I said it thousand times and I'm going to say it again: PC is NOT gameing console and DOESN'T have dedicted game programing, so it DOESN'T have so many AAA games. On the other hand, console is NOT PC and you can't do word, excel, photoshop... on it.

So, console gamers should hold their tears becouse expencive PC is faster and can do more things, and PC gamers should know they will never play masterpieces such as ICO, Uncharted, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, GT5, various Final Fantasy...

They don't make me jealous. I have a PS3 and very good PC which runs new games very well but buy all my multi-plats for PS3. I only buy PC games if they aren't on PS3.
I play PC and PS3 on my 32inch LCD TV and the difference in quality is very small. (TV only plays in 720p/1080i)
I would rather get games for PS3 than PC 'cause of the ease of use. Getting dualshock to work on many PC games is a pain to set up (not very good with mouse and keyboard). Too many settings to get right on PC also. PS3 is put in disc and play, no messing with settings, gamepads etc.

So wait I should cough up £500-600 because pc games has teh "resolutions"????

as for pc gaming my graphics card started overheating now what do I do replace for £100, maybe its my case? replace that £20-30 or wait... I could say f*ck the hassle and just get sme games for ma 360 and ps3 hassle free

I'm a PC Gamer, and it's STUPID!!! Utterly dumb to compare PC and console graphics. It's like making a 5yr old fight a 18yr old. Consoles HAVE to use their video card and their stuck with it for years, where as we can change and get the latest graphics, so it's not really fair to compare at all.

I like seeing PS3 vs 360 graphics, or AVI vs Nvidia something a little more comparable.

Okay first off - I game on both consoles AND the PC. I don't do it just to say I'm cool, I do it for the games. Brand-name loyalty is pointless.

Secondly, the only console gamers who get jealous over PC graphics are graphics whores, and guess what? If you're a true graphics whore, you'd have a powerful rig to begin with.

The entire comparison is retarded, especially given how PC tech is advancing non-stop with no real limitations whereas a console is a one-time investment which can last you years to come. If I want my rig to be more powerful, I go out and buy upgrades accordingly. If I want some badass games, I buy whatever console has some games I really wanna play and go about my day.

I still can't figure out why everyone fights over better graphics. As long as the game is fun and doesn't hurt my eyes to look at it, I don't give a shit if theres another game with slightly better graphics.

Firstly, those screenshots on that site REALLY suck. If the mission was to show how much better the PC looks, this was a fail, because these shots are so grubby everything looked s***.

Secondly, it's a pointless argument. We all know that PCs can be frequently upgraded with more expensive parts than what are found in consoles. So of course - when pushed - PC games will look and perform better than console games...

But it's just not about graphics. Despite the power advantage, the PC will never be the number one device for gaming because too many exclusives only appear on console and piracy is strangling PC gaming to death.

I seem to remember last gen with the original Xbox, when sony fanboys marginalized the fact that the Xbox had a clear advantage graphics wise. Not knocking PC power at all, but accessible gaming means low price hardware & lots of content to choose from. That is why console gaming has surpassed the PC gaming businesss. Graphics are good enough on consoles right now for gamers not to really care about the difference in power a top of the line PC has for games.

Such a stupid debate!! If consoles could upgrade their hardware every month then they would annihilate PC games. In fact, I don't know many PC games that look as good as many PS3 games we have seen so far. Such a stupid argument for PC fanboys who are in denial about how good consoles are nowadays. Consoles destroy PCs in the gaming department.

If it was pound for pound consoles would win because they get pushed to their limits, PC games just up the quality of the effects that are already there, or increase the resolution and AA, until we see proper use of tesselation as one example then all PC's are doing is making things look better, and with the exception of Crysis that tries to push the PC, pound for pound Uncharted achieves more because it has does it with less to work with, PC has the hardware advantage but other than that what are we seeing that makes it stand out other than slight improvments, with that power I want to see things that have not been done before.

Jealous of graphics ? No. Jealous of great and innovative gameplay impossible on console? Anyday, but the latter doesn't seem to exist unless I missed something. I think some pc gamers are jealous of the bluray drive in my Ps3 ;)

It is obvius that Pcs are more powerful than consoles = have better graphics, but better graphics doesn't mean better games. I'm pretty happy what my Ps3 puts on the screen, and even more happier with the fact that such things as MGS4 or Uncharted 2 can't be found on Xblox :P.
Both PCs and Consoles have pros and cons. Graphics are not that important for me. I couldn't even imagine playing games without a controller. And I simply love to sit back on my bed, switching on my TV and to push on the PS button to hear a little"Beep". Nothing else to worry about, just playing games. Love your PC ? that's fine too.

If graphics is the most important thing for you then buy a high end gaming pc. It's as simple as that.

I think PC is capable of having vastly superior graphics but those pictures aren't demonstrating that - all of it's games are just slightly better looking than consoles - except for Crysis and Metro 2033.

And PS3 exclusives sadly look better than a lot of PC/Console multiplat games. Uncharted 2 or GOW3 looks better than Black-Ops on PC or Assassins Creed Brotherhood, ect.

Good for me, because I don't care about very much about graphics :D like some of you do :)

I try to stay away from the PC Flaimbait articles but maybe I could educate someone looking to step up to PC gaming.

1. Get educated.
learn about the technology, architecture, and Hardware so you don't look like an Ass Clown posting comments on N4G when you don't know what your talking about.
The online PC community is friendly and always willing to answer questions. Learning how to "fine tune" a PC is like a mechanic fine tuning his car for better performance.

2. Get your money up.
You can build a serious budget gaming PC that will produce graphics better than any console very easily for like $500 or less that will be relevant longer than any console because of updates but if you want Ferrari type performance then your gonna need Ferrari type of money. Sure $500 is more than a console but I don't see any consoles burning CD/dvd/Blu-ray or doing video chat or folding proteins or editing video or displaying anything in Full HD. remember PC's do more than play games.

3. Take your hobby to the next level
This one is very important because gaming is a hobby but PC gaming takes it to the next level. Pc gaming allows gamers to make mods which is basically making your own game that you can share with the world. I'm not talking about a custom level in a game I'm talking an entire game from start to finish. consoles can't do that. No console can give you the excitement of someone saying "hey I just played your game, why don't you come to Redwood, WA and interview with Gabe Newell for a job with Valve".
PS3 360 Wii will never ever get you this.

Consoles are fun and they have their place but PC gaming is totally about something else it's the love for gaming taken to the next level.

Good grief people. There are a dozen or more games looking better on the PC in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and 2010.
This is NOT a fair comparison.
The PS3 pumps out amazing visuals for a console. At times putting the Xbox360 to shame, however there is YET to be a game on ANY console that matches Crysis 1 let alone Crysis Warhead (which looks better) and Metro 2033 which by far is the best looking game out now.
I could list another 10 games but what's the point?
Console only gamers will swear on their lives that those games look better.......

When these consoles can run intense graphical games other than PSN or XBL titles in FULL 1080P@60FPS using REAL Anti-Aliasing and REAL HDR that is ABOVE 10/12 Floating point Precession that these consoles seem stuck at OR use hacks like NAO32, then this might be worth a comparison. (This is a trick question as there are currently ZERO games on the PS3 or Xbox360 that can game with those parameters. NOT A SINGLE ONE.)
BFB2 on a PC maxed out looks better than 99% of console games and that game on the PC is far from the best looking. Play that game on 3 or more monitors AND in 3D and YOU will NEVER want to go back to console gaming outside of it's select exclusive games....

Thanks to console games.. us PC gamers get buggy,ported terrible multi-system games. Its absolutely pointless to upgrade your PC constantly for good framerates on max graphics. Its so easy to max games out now that it takes very little money compared to how much it use to be. So all the talk about "I HAVE TO UPGRADE EVERY 3 YEARS QQQQQ" is complete bullshit. You can run so many games on max settings that look better and run better than console versions with a ~500-600$ PC(If you build your own, as if that is hard LOL) Which, actually, evens out because PC games cost 10$ less than console games funny enough, so in the end it actually evens pretty close out after you buy the majority of your games. Not to mention you have your music library, internet browser, chat programs, media, movies, pr0n, etc all with the press of Alt-Tab out of game, or even better.. windowed mode.

Anyways, come 2011 alot of companies are taking PC Gaming more seriously now that they realize how much consoles are ageing and that the PC Gaming community as a whole are growing.

I think all this Console vs. PC gaming Flaimbait will all come to an end when Dust 514 is released.

The brilliant minds of the PC gaming developer CCP is making a console FPS inside the Eve Online Universe which will effect the real-time events of both the consolers and PC gamers worlds. So far from what I know the PC gamers will fly the troop carriers and provide supplies for the consolers who will be on the planets fighting each other using guns, flying crafts, and attack vehicles in First Person.

The Pc gamers gain control of a star system then bring in the consolers on carriers, drop them off on a planet for them to conquer it and once the consolers conquer the planet then that PC gamers corporation can extract the resources. An enemy corp can sneak into a system, drop off consolers on a planet, conquer it, thus raping the PC gamers for ISK (Eve money) and making it easier to launch a space assault. This is the concept so far and it may change but Dust 514 is slated for 2011 release.

I think once a lot of consolers start playing this game they will naturally want to move up in the corporation thus many will switch to the PC side to enjoy conquering corporations and galaxies in Eve Online while many PC gamers will go console to help protect their corporations first hand.

The Eve Online Universe is huge, huge like infinite huge and everyone plays on one server and all actions effect the game unlike Warcraft.

Yeah PC is superior no doubt about it but it's too expensive to maintain in the long run.
I would invest more in PC gaming but I don't know how to build a PC rig and most of my money in gaming is going towards the PS3/Wii.

I'll admit though that Star Wars: The Old Republic, Diablo 3, STALKER, Deus EX, and Valve games make me want to get into PC gaming again.

Might have my friend build me my first PC then I guess I could learn how to build a 2nd PC later on down the road.

1: Dirt 3 frankly looks better than gt5 (cars actually get dirt on them during rally, higher detail damage, higher res scenery)
2: Metro 2033 - best looking game ever
3: GTA 4 (with mods)
4: Just Cause 2 - great textures, really colourful
5: ME2 - best looking RPG
6: Medal of Honor - Good textures, great lighting, easily trumps killzone
7: Stalker
8: Mirrors Edge - looks amazing all round
9: NBA 10 - amazing realism
10: Resi 5 - Similar type of game to uncharted, much better graphics, particularly textur resolution and special effects

I remember during the 90's have all the great classic PC games from Prince of Persia Doom, Lemmings. And the bad thing bout PC is you have to either upgrade your graphics card or memory card in order to play the game that you want or have to update your PC. But in the end PC graphics is at best but still in my opinion theirs not too many games I like to play on PC like I used to. "SIGH".

PC is capable of alot, but how many companies actually try to push it to what it can do besides the few people like Crytek?

AA only goes so far, and hardware is useless without the software. most of PC games getting released now are ports, not to mention the massive delays on them.

PC gaming isn't all what PC gamers try to make it out to be, plain and simple.
