Ur missing the point. I'm not interested in who goes to their site. I'm interested in the site content!

Specifically, their guestimates of install base numbers and weekly system sales, which significantly undertrack PS3, and have been used as a means of falsely establishing Microsoft's position in this generation of consoles.

Anyone who'se been around for a while knows an active and functioning install base is the only true measure of a system's health/ position in the market.

An indepth look at all of the factors which indicate each systems's true functioning install base is long over due. For a site like theirs to post numbers every week while completely ignoring these factors is downright appalling.

Simply put; I want to see an install base adjusted for rrod systems not currently in operation! Don't know how much clearer I can be. U want credability for ur site, then we want to see this addressed.

In reality, they wont do it, because it's a fanboy site and they know dambed well these numbers put 360 in 3rd place.

Weren't most of the units affected by rrod refurbished anyways(assuming they were in warranty which, due to extremely faulty hardware, most did not make it past 3 years). If vgchartz, is counting each refurbished 360 as an extra sell, then we would have problem and to the best of my knowledge, they are not. Also, if you compared the numbers to npd, which is more accurate, the numbers were eerily similar and if they were off, they would quickly recorrect it. Of course, tracking the working userbase is near to impossible seeing as some claim that rrod affected anywhere from 30%-50% of users at the time.

This is a good article, vgchartz ESTIMATES are great for having a decent idea at how things have sold. Of course, if a company says that vgchartz's numbers are off, believe the company. Also, since they are indeed estimates, people probably should not quote them as fact, which based on the amount of hate vgchartz gets here, it won't be a problem.

Actually some of these are valid points. Like ps3 owners who just buy blueray. Or Wii's that don't do anything but collect dust. Or 360's which no longer work. I'm sure these factors are hard to measure, but they need to be addressed by ur site. Ignoring them significantly reduces any validaty of a site based on guestimated numbers.

If the numbers point to 360 having a more active user base so be it. wouldn't supprise me. Logic says it should have a higher attach rate based on the cost of the system alone. Software sales point to it having a much more focused user base than PS3; they love their shooters.

You lost me at the end there! lol. I actually have both 360 (launch system) and PS3 (also launch 60 gig), and love them both. Sold my Wii last year but plan on getting another now that Donkey Kong, Kirby, and Metroid are out.
